I just appreciate for whoever it was for getting in touch with me so that I was able to do that - and thank you for all your comments, it's a difficult enough getting started with a new business without someone trying to make it even more so.
I wish you all the best with your business, and i dont think that anybody on here has taking jills word for it, or should i say kate from little divaz word for it.0 -
No mention of a Advanced CRB for the role
Thought you only needed a CRB check if you were working with children alone ie no supervision, I might be wrong here so feel free to correct me.
Plus I do not think you can get them done if you are self-employed.

I've tried t get one done on myself and I can't, only my employees. However, as the parents don't leave the children with us, we don't, by law, need one. It would be nice to get it though! Think the rules are a bit silly that the self employed can't get it!!0 -

I don't get that. Childminders are self employed (I used to be one) and they have to have CRB checks.0 -

All 5 can be tied together by telephone numbers, email addresses and WHOIS searches.0 -

I wondered about that too. I've spoken to a couple of different companies who both said I need an employer to recieve the check, failing that if I worked in a school the check could be sent there, or to my accountant. I don't work in a school and I don't have an accountant!
I guess it must be different for Childminders as they need the CRB check by law, and I think there is some kind of governing body that would recieve the check for the childminder to get registered?0 -
I actually had a spa party from this company on sunday and i must say it was rather outstanding. Katie was a really nice lady and she arrived shockingly early but it was no wonder when i saw how much they had to set up. We had spa robes, foot spas, face masks, cucumbers, non alcoholic champagne and girls has manicure, pedicures and french polishes. There were 15 girls all together and everyone had everything done to a great standard in just under 3 hours. For professional treatments, pink decorations and balloons on 15 girls the price was really good. I would definately recommend them, they were fantastic.
I've had a bad experience in the past with a company called flutterbys but little divaz uk were great.
I live in surrey and theyd just done a party in luton and came afterwards to do ours and its was from 8pm onwards. the poor girls had to travel back home to birmingham at that time and she didnt mind at all.
i have nothing bad to say about this company and i hope they go a long way
sorry to disappoint the people trying to bring the company down.

I am the owner of the company Flutterby Parties, the company you say that carried out a pamper party in Surrey.
Firstly I have never ever carried out a party in Surrey and have never traveled to Luton as I live in Lincoln and have never carried out a party in the Luton or Surrey area.
I have never received a complaint about any of the Spa parties that I carried out and readers of this forum are more than welcome to read my comments on my website of real comments from real customers.
If I do not receive an immediate apology I will consider legal action for detrimental comments of my business. I have previously worked in the legal field and therefore am more than happy to pursue this.
I look forward to receiving your reply within the next 48 hours.
To all the readers of this forum and to the person who contacted me to inform me of these comments I thank you very much. I have worked extremely hard to build up my party business and try my hardest to provide an excellent service.
I don't think Jill was saying Flutterby Parties went to Surrey after coming from Luton, I think she was saying the Divaz people did. But if I were you I'd still want to know about her booking to check if she has actually had a party from you and can back up what she's saying. I assume if she gives you the party date and name/location, you can check your diaries, and if she doesn't it's because she can't.0 -

You're right, she did, but I think a few people have got the wrong end of the stick.
I'm not sticking up for littledivaz, but what is wrong with them asking for cash to pay the balance on the day of the party?
They wouldn't ask for a cheque incase it bounced, and I can't see them having card facilities with them when they come to do parties, so what other method of payment is there apart from cash?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
there are some charming reviews on qype, but they seem to have been deleted.
however, thanks to the power of google cache, we can still enjoy them.
environmental health officer was physically astonished at the food and the trading standards officer told us he could not believe his eyes
and this one:
What a terrible service! ..... Conveniently, Katie ignored the numerous calls I made to her during the party
in the interests of fairness, i can also find one positive review on qype in the google cache, posted by a user called ping81.
it's here.
strangely, little divaz UK have a go2album account - their username is ping81.
http://www.go2album.com/pg/profile/ping81
of course, this is probably just a coincidence.
on her bebo profile (coincidentally, her username there is ping16) katie describes her ambition as "to be a millionaire by the time i'm 30" and her first thought waking up as: "another day another dollar! fuk sake!"
they seem to have an unfortunate history of car accidents too:
