  • So that's, one, bacon, roll?

What are you wearing? (If it's a member of the same gender).

Sadly the only ones we get are recorded so I can't try any of it:mad:

Or write down a list of questions and give the answer to each every time you're asked a question. Or say "do you like cheese?"
Boris Johnson voted against Brexit in the Commons, all to become leader of the Conservative Party. Fall for it and you deserve everything you get.
  • I just say " hold on a second while I take my clothes off" and find that it is equally off-putting for both male and female call centre staff.

Since I signed up for the TPS the only calls I get are from BT wanting me to rejoin them! At least one every week or so, drives me nuts....

Snap ! ...Last call i asked to be removed from their call list, yes I can do that for you but only for 6 months, tried to pursue this time limit but she rang off:T

  • My stock answer to these unrequested calls is to reply that there is no one available to to take your call at present. Amazing how quickly they hang up or say they will call back. Makes no odds to me how many times they call they still get the same answer.

Assuming its a female I have started flirting with them to see how far they will go, usually they ring off because its not in their script - and good free practise for me LoLLL :)

So you sexually harass them. Well done, coz women don't get enough of that. Oh yeah, we do, everywhere we go, everywhere we dare to show our faces, every time we dare to leave the house, every time we dare expect to be treated as human beings. Well done! Not.

And, of course, there's no difference at all between flirting and sexual harassment, is there? Sheesh, it's a wonder our species survives.

So it is OK for the females (or males) from these marketing companies to harrass us with unwanted telephone calls, but not OK to have a bit of harmless fun with them in retaliation - Get a life !!!!!

We get quite a few sales people come to the door during the day and whilst I don't normally notice because I'm at work, if I happen to have a day off I can usually get away with saying that sorry, my parent's arn't at home (I'm 24 and own my house but they don't know that :) ) Also, for charity workers in the street who try to stop me I just say that I'm not 18 and can't donate anything but might consider it when I'm older. I usually do get questioned about it but they can't really argue with an answer like that :) I have no problem giving to charity, and if I wan't to do so I will do it by my own methods. A lot of these workers get paid a lot of money to hassle people who usually don't want to be hassled in the street.

As far as cold callers go, a polite "No thanks" is enough. After leaving uni I was so desperate to find work, any work and did apply for many call centre jobs - luckily I never heard back from any of them and have never worked in one!
