Sick of it

I know people make genuine mistakes, but this section seems to be just for people who didn't take any notice of where they parked or were just to lazy and don't want to take responcibility for it.
I know this will probably fire a few people up, but it just an example of how this country is getting, full of people who think they shouldn't be respocible for their own actions
I used to be me !! what happened

If it annoys you so much, don't read it then, people come here for advice, even when they know they have done wrong.

  • So far the majority of those we have helped have been those who have infringed imaginary rules or have made mistakes (as we all do sometimes) I've got to admit, when on another site, I am amazed how many people park on dyl's and are surprised to get a ticket. By the same token I am appalled at the councils who can't print the tickets as stipulated in legislation so its about 50/50 really.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Holding the Private Parking Companies responsible for their unlawful actions would be a good contribution.

I just hope Veggyboy doesn't get a surprise in the post from the likes of Parking eye saying his car is on camera overstaying his welcome, a fine because wind blew through the vents and sent the P&D ticket to the footwell, gets a council ticket when parked perfectly legally (I have seen this happen), gets clamped when no signs warning of clamping are displayed, or the residents permit fell off the dash leading to a nice metal boot on a wheel. Since he takes "responsibility" for his actions I am sure he'll happily pay up.

So you are in favour of private parking parasites preying on hospital patients and their visitors, you are in favour of said parasites haunting motorway services preying on tired drivers who take the government's advice to park up for a sleep, you are in favour of said parasites sending out unlawful threats to screw money out of innocent law abiding people who don't understand the county court system, or the difference between a debt collector and a bailiff? If so what the hell are you doing on a MONEY SAVING forum? Go away troll.

So, VB, do you think that it is wrong, or perhaps unfair, that those who seek to use the law are held to account in the way that they seek to employ or enforce it? Your logic would seem to be that anyone who enforces the law (in whatever form that may be, real or imagined) must therefore always be right and should be left to get on with it. We could all cite examples where that could be demonstrated as arrant nonsense.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

I am not a troll, nor am I saying every body is wrong, all I am saying is sometimes people need to be respocible for what they do. A genuine mistake is a genuine mistake. But as a disabled driver I don't have sympathy for those who park there and don't need the space and then moan if they get a ticket (private or otherwise).

But how do you (and indeed how does the PPC) know exactly who is and who is not disabled in a parking bay in a private car park?
