The country should be sick of these private companies making their own 'illegal' laws & cashing out on the vulnerables...It appears that this point has been missed by the OP!

Don't have a car. So feels like this thread doesn't involve me.

daedana, I do have a car, so it does involve me.

So...I will sit back, with my popcorn, and await the outcome!!

tristonana, my point was we can display them, whether they are valid in private car parks or not, I always put mine in the window so people are aware

Why? As well as being invalid in private situations, a Blue Badge is not proof of being disabled to begin with.

I think what you probably meant was that the lack of a blue badge does not mean that you are able-bodied.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

If you've got a BB its always worth displaying it, if the idiots ever clamp then its an instant win at the C/Court.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

It would also be sensible to advise the able bodied who abuse disabled parking, that despite the fact they may not be legally required to pay PPC charges, nevertheless their behaviour is wrong.

Telling them they have done nothing wrong will not help a disabled persons life any easier, which is the point of providing facilities for the disabled.

I am sure most of us would be in agreement that if an able-bodied person parked up in a Disabled space leaving no other space available for a disabled person, this would be morally wrong. But we also believe the PPC's are morally wrong. Do two moral wrongs make a moral right?
