I'm feeling so much better, almost 100% now. I can't believe how remarkable the human body is! On mon/tues early weds I thought I'd never be able to eat anything again, yet yesterday I managed 3 small meals throughout the day! And I've woken up hungry today!

Also thank god for my OS and storecupboard ways, without these I would have serious been stuck this week. Luckily I had long life milk, cereal, bread making stuff and HM food in freezer to keep me going. :)

It's such a beautiful day here at moment. I'm really :( about my friend not coming to stay this weekend but it's for the best as I wouldn't be much company with little energy. If I feel up to it later I may venture out for the smallest of walks to the seaside. The coastal path is a minute walk away and there are loads of benches along it so I wouldn't have to go far.

OS wise, need to put DW on which I'll do after breakfast. I have a big basket of laundry to put away which I may attempt at some point. I've just put away the bedding I washed yesterday.

    Have a fab day all

Morning all....................(((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

It sure is a dreich morning here, very grey, I just hope its not snow. I am off shortly the otherside of Edinburgh to the quilt show. Lunch bag packed, camera batteries fully charged, CC buried deep in my purse. I am not intending to buy anything, but you never know......

The weather forecast for us is not too bad, but we are due high winds over the weekend....shame its our wedding anniversary on Sunday, I bought a meal deal from Tesco for a treat......there is an antique fair in the village, if the weather is not too bad we might spend 50p each to have a gander.

Right offsy for now....will report back later.

    Good Morning Everybody

Happy Birthday Smokeybabe. Have a lovely day

Flutterbyuk, so glad your feeling better

JC2703 I think its that time of the month for looking at budgets. This is our first month using a new bank account to pay household bills and food shopping. Wages went in today and can't believe we actually have a plan and a budget for the month. (We still have the debt and the old overdraft but at least we have a plan to pay it off. It's great feeling a bit more in control:j) Well done Wilbur, can't wait to get ours aid off!

Diva the biscuits sound fab. Only me likes peanut butter but will definitely give them a try, it won't do much for my weight loss but hey ho, It doesn't seem to be a massive priority at the moment:think:

Well out for tea tonight at DSS so that will be nice. May bake some cookies and take as a thank you
Also need to take DS3 out to get a waterproof jacket and trousers any OS money saving ideas on this as I don't want to spend too much. He is away on a geography trip to Snowdonia next weekend and bear in mind he is 13 and won't wear anything he doesn't consider truly stylish:cool:

So that means we will have a weekend to ourselves. DS2 is usually out at his GF so looking forward to some us time. Pre OS that would have definitely meant a wk end away and cost a fortune. Instead we will be cooking some gorg HM meals and snuggling:o:kisses3:

Off to the library this morning and then back to write a 1000 words. A challenge I have set myself to try and write the book that has been buzzing around in my head for at least 5 yrs.

Started my Easter Bunny last night so far so good:EasterBun
    Have a lovely day peeps J x

It's Friiiiiiidayyyyyy!!! :j:j:j Couldn't come quick enough for me this week, it's been a little bit hellish to say the least.

Smokey happy birthday, hope ou have a great day
Diva was having a chat to DD last night as you inspired me to get some planters and try grow-your-owns this year, she's so excited about the idea! I've sent off for some free samples, so we'll take it from there and see how we go.... ;)
Wilbur great news about the OD, well done :T
And I've now got really bad sun envy from Donnygal - it's wet, cold and miserable here today :(

Still haven't tried out the new breadmaker, although I'm itching too, it's as yet unpacked from it's box  Hopefully I will finally get round to finishing the kitchen off tonight and will be able to unpack it and set it off :j

Today I'll be popping out at lunch to get my fruit and veg for next week, then tomorrow (aside of getting DS some new shoes), I'll be at home organising stuff for Sunday as we're out at the football for the day and DS and DD are being looked after by family. Will hopefully have the motivation to get a jump on the housework tonight as well. Busy weekend ahead!!

Hope you all have a good day, OS or not

  • Morning all, luckily its not too cold as my CH boiler decided to break down last night and the plumber can't arrive until Monday afternoo.Still thats what extra blankets and duvets are for so I won't perish.i did phone one place up and they wanted £250. just for call out plus parts and labour. After I stopped laughing I said thanks but no thanks.I found the phone no. of a chap locally that I have used once before and he was very helpful and said he will try to sort the problem out for me on Monday. So its running on the spot begin :):):)

Do you have a Mountain Warehouse shop nearby? They have really good and cheap outdoor stuff. It's where I buy most of my things from, I work outdoors a lot and do outdoor pursuits so I can vouch for the stuff! I bought an outdoor jacket there 2 weeks ago for just £30, down from £120 on the label.

Another good place to try is Matalan. Their skiwear stuff is great, and they had some in the sale when I was looking earlier in the month.

    Good morning all :D

Not posted in a while, but had to come on to say,

Happy Birthday, smokybabe !_party_:bdaycake::beer: hope you have a good one hun!

Life is just the normal plodding along, except I treated myself to a new sewing machine yesterday, so had fun playing last night :D Now I'll have to do all those mending and altering jobs I've been putting off because I hated my old machine :rotfl:

(hugs) to the poorlies or worried.

Wilbur, well done you! Folks on here give good tips, but carrying it through is all down to you :D

There's a strange yellow thing in a blue sky, do you think it's dangerous :rotfl: If I can remember how, think the washing will be pegged out today. First day without rain of some sort for ages :T

Hope you all have good days.

Diva those cookies sound gorgeous, will have a go at the weekend.
Just a flying visit this morning, off to the hospital in 10 mins. Got fracture clinic at 11.30 and neurologist at 12.30. Will be asking him about having brain surgery.

Meeting with the bosses was cancelled:mad: Got to wait until monday now but we did finances last night and it will be a struggle but we can cope on just DH's wage so I will hand my notice in. I feel so relieved.

    Have a good day everyone:D
