Hi Everyone,
Brilliant news! Received a letter today from the Bank of Scotland regarding my PPI. They are sending me a cheque for £6921!!
This will go a very long way to paying off my debts and hopefully I will be debt free in approx 23 months! hopefully sooner!
I might put a little bit to one side, fancy teeth whitening of dermal fillers!
Thanks to all who have helped me throught this process.
I am grinning from ear to ear!

Hello littlekel & choc addict!
I am over the moon. It was so easy as well!!:jMy loan payments are reduced from £327 to £286 as well.
I think if I pay MBNA off then put 4k towards the loan and over pay by £514 per month the loan should finish in 20 months instead of 63. So I should be debt free by feb / march 2012.
I feel like I'm in a dream at the moment, can't quite believe I did it and possibly may have some RBS ppi, i'm not sure about it but worth £10 to find out.
I've treated us all to a chinese for tea. Too excited to cook!
I would advise anyone to have a go trying to get PPI back, it was so easy.
Anyway. i'm going now because i'm starting to ramble! I've had a bottle od San Miguel with chinese.
Again, Thanks to everyone for ALL YOUR SUPPORT & ENCOURAGEMENT! CHEERS!:beer:missmental stopping being mental & to be debt free by 53 :j

Hi, i should get PPI money back next week & was planning to pay off MBNA & the rest off my loan. But, since receiving news that I am being refunding PPI, all i can think of is buying things. So far have not been tempted but am literally dreaming of Mulberrry handbags!
Been quite a boring day - i'm off today, washed all the bedding and then it rained, so still drying it. Nipped into town to get father's day pressie and also picked up some shoes I likes in M&S for my friends wedding in July. They are gorgeous but so high! I'm not sure i can actually wear them all day & night. so might have to return them.
Lokking forward to the footy tonight! come on England

He he....i'd have spent it 100 times over by now!! Why don't you tell yourself that you are going to buy yourself 'one' treat from the refund money and that way you'll have fun deciding what it is and enjoying it when you can go and buy it - might save on impulse buys when the cash does arrive :rotfl:
I haven't worn heels in a long time, thought today I really need to get back in touch with my feminine side a little
OH and I are keen outdoors people so always in a t-shirt, jeans or walking/climbing stuff, hair tied back and so on....hmmm, perhaps I need a little revamp to remind me I do look good in heels....a girls night out should do the trick
Productive day off for you, i'm itching to finish work in 15 mins so I can head off down to visit a friend for evening - we'll watch the footie in I think.
Have a great weekend x0 -
lol i would be thinking about all the things i could buy too!!

Make sure you get a few treats for yourself, that should keep you happy for a few months while you continue to debt bust!

Hello choc addict & littlekel,
Well, i did it, spoil myself that is! Bought a Mulberry handbag (pink patent tote). I just loved it, but now feel so guilty and scared to use it!! Had a lovely day at Cheshire Oaks designer outlet and got a few bits for DS#2 for his hols. Only 11 sleeps to go;).
But now it's out my system and i def won't dare buy anything else. All the rest will pay off debt. think it will be down to 16K ish !!:T
I'm on nights tonight & sunday. So going to have a little kip for an hour or so.
See you soon. Xmissmental stopping being mental & to be debt free by 53 :j

Hi,
I'm still feeling very excited about my ppi reclaim, can't wait for the cheques to arrive. I was told up to 10 days for it to come through so hopefully should here this week!
It's pay day on friday & I'm not overdrawn!! I'm still doing well with my weekly budget but not writing down my purchases any more.
Only one more shift left before our holidays. Only 9 sleeps to go.missmental stopping being mental & to be debt free by 53 :j

I am overdrawn by £15! It was rogue direct debit that stung me. Sure I have an £100 interest free overdraft though. I am very disappointed with myself and it still means I'm officially skint until Friday. Decided to sell some clothes, shoes and other crap on ebay to boost my income and try to get back on track with debt busting~ listed 9 items. Have found some tesco vouchers £7.50 that will cover essentials such as milk.
good news is my 0% post office credit card has arrived just in time for new york. It supposed to not carry any hidden charges to use abroad. I think most CC's charge around 3% so on my hotel bill of £1000 that would cost me an extra £30. But my PO CC should cost me £0!!
Going to try to have NSD today. Got £10 in my purse to last till friday and going out for a drink wednesday night. May have to be very nice to DH!missmental stopping being mental & to be debt free by 53 :j
