Too right. Spending is easy peasy! I just bought a new sat nav. It really is a necessity in my job. I bought it from Argos after much searching on line, it cost £69. That is the end of spending this month. No more!!!

    Hi,

I have one day off then back for 5 shifts. That is just ridiculous, means I will only have one day off in 10 days. Hate work at the minute, just so busy & short staffed.

Anyway, going to enjoy my one day off. Meeting friend at lunchtime and then taking my DS#2 out for tea because he's had a very busy week doing GCSE's. DH & DS#1 are at Download Festival all weekend!

I'm still in credit, not been overdrawn since end of April and i'm loving it!!!

    Here's to a good day!

    Hurray!

Bank of Scotland have written to me today. They are refunding my PPI for 4 loans. I don't know how much and haven't got a clue how to work it out and to be honest i'm just happy I'm getting something! I should find out how much in 14 days!:j
I will owe less than 20K!
    My DFD will be sooner!

    Happy Days.

On the bad side i've got to go to work this afternoon & will miss the footy. Boo!

    Thanks littlekel,

I am dead chuffed. Hopefully it will knock the loan down by a few £1000's!! And it is brill not to be overdrawn anymore. No more rotten bank charges. No more being overdrawn on payday!! I can definitely see light at the end of my tunnel now. My DFD is currently Oct 2012, hopefully my PPI reclaim will bring it forward a few months??!

Firstly Happy Anniversary - i've been on hols so missed it. Hope you had a fab day!

Woo hoo to the PPI claim - wow! I wonder how much it'll be, could be a nice sum to clear your mbna and take a chunk off of your loan.....ooh i'm SO excited for you :D

Understand what you mean re overdraft - I declined the overdraft offer on my current acc with nationwide when offered upon opening as knew I couldn't trust myself and it's kept me living within my means since. It's a nice feeling isn't it!

Hope works not too hectic, same this end for me and no holidays to look forward to now. That said we are moving into our very first house 4th August :D:D:D Finally got a completion date just before we went on our hols!

Congratulations on moving into your first house, very exciting!!

Rang bank of scotland yesterday, it turns out I'm getting PPI back for 5 loans (not 4!) which is great and only part of it will be deducted from current loan. I should get the rest in a cheque, so will pay MBNA off first then if there's any left i'll pay it off the loan i think! Gosh, it will be so tempting to spend it though!! I could buy DS#1 a car!!
I have no idea how much it will be. It will be a nice surprise whatever!

I have only 4 shifts left before I break up for my hols, hurrray. not been off since easter & am so ready for a holiday. And I should hear about PPI money before we fly.:T
Thanks for all your support. Without the good people on this site I would still be struggling with my debts as i did for years before. I really feel that i am getting somewhere now and hopefully a couple of years from now I'll bw nearly debt free!

    Thanks again everyone. XX:T

Excellent news about the extra PPI for a 5th one!!

It will be so tempting to spend it!!

Could you not perhaps have a little treat for yourselves - like a weekend away or something. But through the bulk of it towards the debt! :p
