I kept my married name purely because I hate my maiden name- I spent my entire time at school being crucified because of it and I much prefer my married name (least he was good for something!)2011- new year, new start.

I've kept my married name as the children are still at school and I wanted the same surname as them.
Eldest is in the process of changing his name to my maiden name as he believes his father doesn't deserve having his surname showing, youngest has also said he will change his name once he reaches an age where he can.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I changed my name back to my maiden name before we divorced when I found out she was pregnant, a knee jerk reaction that I have never regretted. I'm back to my family name which I love, they are due to get married soon and I wouldn't want to share the name.
I kept the Mrs tho, didn't want to be a Miss or a Ms.Sadly, you don't have any badges yet but keep trying! See what you could get........... oh boo hoo I am crying into my wine.

I asked my older son what he thought about my changing my surname back to my maiden name and he wanted us (2 sons and me) to have the same name. So I haven't bothered.... yet.
I couldn't double barrel the 2 surnames, it would be too long and sound silly!0 -
changed my name as back to my maiden name along with my son as soon as i possibly could! I was no longer part of my exH family and the way his family have completely ignored my son, neither is he so wanted nothing more to do with it!! Did keep my sons original surname as a 2nd middle name though for him but never use it except on passport any official documents.0

I have kept my married name, but then again I kept my maiden name until I had children.
My only reason for changing my name was so my children had the same name (although my first child has baby hospital braclets that say "baby maiden name" as I hadn't changed it at that stage).
One friend made up a totally new name.0 -
We have just decided to separate....and i have been thinking of which name to go back to as i have a maiden name, and a birth name, strangely though i have been thinking i will maybe make one up, or find one i like and do that instead. I think i want to be my own name for a change. Does that sound odd?0
