Let me guess....this roofer had an Irish accent and was driving a transit van towing a caravan?

No, local accent with polo shirt with company logo. Didn't notice a vehicle. He said they were a local company but the address on the leaflet is 35 miles away! They may have an office locally I guess not sure though. They don't have a website I can find either.

Yes concrete roof tiles do a life time-span, approx 30yrs?

It's slate tiles on the roof. Plus the ones on the extension bit are newer still as that was put on around 1994.
Here I go again on my own....

Pity you didnt find out who up the road had it done.

We have moss on our roof, but its mainly in the guttering, so we go up every year stick our hands in, and pull it out.

We did have a leak, not a leak as such, but where the moss had gattered in the corner of the guttering is what blocking the water coming down, so when it rained the water came over the front door.
Now we realise this happens, we make sure that there is no moss in the corners, since we have done this, we have had no leaks for the last few years.
