Wow! Too many pages to read! I;m pretty new at this. Anyway, the majority of High Street retialers have shoes made in the same places-Schuh, Office, Faith, Dune, Topshop etc etc. The prices vary from store to store but you'l often find the shoes are similar quality. I know because I work for one of them and have had shoes in for 'us' that were branded with another retailer's stamp.0

Many years ago, Harrods sold Carlsberg lager re-labelled at about 3 times the price "probably the most EXPENSIVE lager in the world". I was told this by a buyer in the food hall who was a friend of mine0 -
BP supply Sainsbury's petrol stations (my other half is a tanker driver).
and E45 is made by Boots. Parents went to the Boots factory and they tell you, they obviously can't sell in other shops with Boots on it, so named in E45.0 -

I did some electrical jobs at a Diversey-Lever factory in Cheshire a few years back. I'm not sure if it is still there, but they had a massive warehouse full of washing powder. From what I was told some of the different brands (Persil, Surf etc) were using identical washing powder.0

I have to use a condeser dryer because our flat has no drying facilities. I tried to buy one and there was none in stock anywhere. I ended up at an old fashioned department store in our town and talked to them about it. The assistant told me there was a strike at the factory and that all the dryers were made at the same factory and the outside carcasses were the only difference between them. They sold me the only display model they had (a Creda) and gave free delivery on the same day.0

When searching for a washing machine i found this site very helpful it gives much of the information you have given relating to who makes what washing machine. It is site created by a washing machine repairman who gives insight into what washing machines are worth your money. The which washing machine section i found particularly interesting.0

I used to work for M&S and went to visit the tea factory. The teabags etc were produced by Ringtons teas in the North of England - as were other supermarket brands. They used the freshest leaves (other brands could use older leaves), and didnt allow the threshings to be used. (threshing is when all the mishapen tea bags are collected up from the tea bag making machine and 'beaten' so all the tea leaves drops out and can be fed back into the tea bag making machine to be used again - along with dust etc i should imagine). M&S only let the tea go through once.0
