sorry to have to go back a bit, but is it true that Bosch and Neff are the same company/components?
I need a new oven and hob and so will save a bundle if i get something other than the Neff stuff I've had my eye on.
Both are produced by the same company, but it's possible that manufacturing standards might vary between the different brands (which include Siemens as well).
My wife insisted on a Neff oven, but had Bosch made one with the same specifications we'd have been quite happy to buy that because the Bosch models are invariably cheaper than the Neff equivalents.
For what it's worth, the quality of the Neff oven we bought isn't a patch on the older ones, it packed up within a couple of years, needing major repairs, and the 'customer service' provided by Neff was appalling. We did get a new one out of them after telling them how much bad publicity they'd get from us, but I'd be very unlikely to pay the premium price Neff demand, as against the Bosch equivalent, next time.
This might also be of interest:

How can butchers do better quality meat at lower prices than supermarkets?0 -

Simply because supermarkets work on a higher margin for meat than many butchers. Same applies to fruit and veg. Everyone thinks they're cheaper than the competition, but that only really applies to groceries, and even then not across the board.0 -
yeah, our local butchers sells large chicken breasts for £1 each, they are bigger, tastier and cheaper than anything you can get in a supermarket0

Your local butcher will not have had to pay to have their meat shipped from the abbotuire to a processing plant then onto a central distribution warehouse, then finally to the shop.
As for the Bosch/Neff thing, they are both owned by Siemens (along with Dremel and Stihl). I work for Siemens and as an employee, can gain good discounts from the Siemens Group. They have a corporate perks website through which I can order stuff.Never Knowingly Understood.

I think Aldi's Battenberg cake is made by Mr Kipling as their batch codes were the same. I cannot comment on if Mr K does any other of Aldi's cakes.0

Anyway, i remeber about 15 years ago I was obessed with a chicken Kiev product made by a company in Hereford called Sun Valley. At the time they made the most succulent chicken Kievs INTHE WORLD! IMO, of course.
Seriously guys - they were full of lovely garlicky butter oozing out onto my new potatoes and peas - heaven! Then something went wrong...
OMG  you brought back such lovely memories, i too was addicted to them, had to limit to friday night treat while watching prisoner cell block h lol
.
I too have tried all the others and nothing comes close, don;t bother with birds eye they are disgusting. I started to make my own but kievs are not the easiest thing to make.
I remember being up on one of the planets at Bulmers cider plant in Hereford watching the 2 little bulldozers going around and around the yard in sun valley,
scraping up the waste and maggots

Me and my family are convinced that Aldi chocolate spread is Nutella. My kids go through a jar of this a week and have tried all the other alternatives, ie Morrison and Asda own brand and the kids can't stand their version. With the Aldi brand they're convinced it tastes like Nutella and can't get enough of it, at 99p I can't complain either.0

I've worked in a distribution centre for M&S chilled foods. I never saw any other branded products there (just mentioning it because a few people have said they've seen other brands in supermarket stock).
I've also worked for Shepherd Neame brewery and they make various unrelated beers included Asahi and Kingfisher (if I remember rightly). In fact a lot of beers are either owned by the same company or at least made by a different one (most foreign beers will be "brewed under licence in the UK" or something similar).
I assume they all use different recipes but the same raw materials at least.0
