Air Conditioner Unit £50

Google "CARLTON ECS1000H" shows multiple references that is a evaporative cooler not an airconditioning unit proving mclaren quite wrong unfortunately.
Unless it's a obvious missprice from a well known brand any decent aircon costs £130+, this is wishful thinking.
The 12000 BTU unit from homebase for £200 still provides best value for money.0 -
yes and half are coming back air cooler an dhalf air con..... £150 tho half price -MoneySavingSpender wrote:Google "CARLTON ECS1000H"Never do things tomorow when you can do them today.0 -
Lack of BTU information, condenser type, venting information proves to me it's not a real aircon imo.
jeffers1969 should also rename the title of his 1st post as it is misleading.
DSG sister company PC World have it correctly labled:

as does currys:

Some links for those who can't wait for a bargain (you will require a 100-120mm hole in the wall or a open window for the heat vent/exhaust all air conditioners require)
£356 Professional Split Air Conditioner 17000 BTU
£200 Challenge Portable Air Conditioner 12000 BTU0 -

Do you have a rough idea how much an installer would charge for installing the split AC? Thank you.

Assuming they need to drill a 120mm hole and screw fix to that outside and possibly also fit a protector on the extractor fan on the outside, I can imagine most would want at least £200 if not more, Amcor do a portable 15000 btu unit if you want the convienence of putting the exhaust vent wherever you want (ie removing it to the garage/shed etc once winter arrives)

Is this really an air conditioning unit??
