It is a good buy (£95 on Amazon) but it's also misdescribed by Dixons.
It's not an air conditioner but an evaporative air cooler. It works by blowing air over ice packs which obviously need to be pre-frozen.Can I help?0 -

Another misleading ad from DSG group I dont know how they get away with it this is an AIR COOLER not an air conditioning unit!0 -
Even though the title in dixons says air conditioner, this is technically not an aircon unit - it is an air cooler. So don't jump for your credit cards just yet - this uses water to saturate and cool the air, completely different to a proper air conditioner, such as this one at empiredirect for £179.99:

A Point to note is that its an Air Cooler not an Air Conditioner. Blows Air over Ice blocks. Think their description is a tad misleading.

What everyone seems to be overlooking is that this is an air cooler, not an air conditioner............;)

Perhaps it would be wise for the OP to modify the title of this thread....so no-one misses Dixons error.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
