Also, if you start up and after a couple of months decide that it's not for you do you have to pay any money back or anything?

    Thanks!

  • just register with tax office that you are self employed (need to do that tomorrow!).
No if a customer recycles or files a book then you dont get in trouble or charged for it the same way if you decide its not for you you dont owe anyone anything! i really like it!

I just think with betterware if you get a bad upline you're in trouble. You're under pressure for sales etc etc.

Now for the record - maybe you do have to pre pay for orders with Wikaniko but they have built (the directors) this business with ABSOLUTELY NO CREDIT from scratch. Just their experience in MLM. So why change. I think that's simply FAB so I'm perfectly willing to pre pay catalogue orders and if you don't want to do catalogues there's always web with wikaniko which is very little outlay.

This is an anti debt.....anti credit forum anyway. So any business that has been built without it should be praised...and Wikaniko is a cooperative so there's loads of extra benefits for distributors. :) AND it's cheaper than Kleeeneze (who say start up fee is £80 but in reality is more like £140)...

I'm not dissing wikaniko they have great products :) but there are also things that aren't clear cut as well :) I just feel some things could change to help and encourage more distributors :) Because someone told me it was only £48 to join which isn't necessarily true.....everything you need to better your business costs extra x

There is pro's and cons to all these companies i feel, its just what your prepared to invest.

Yeah I think even if this thread just discusses the pros and cons of various MLM companies from an honest view point (not just really anti or made loads really for) than that would be veryhelpful. Because when one is googling these things trying to work out fact from fiction is like so hard and every review I could find was about 2 years old!!!

Hope I've not offended anyone. I'm saving money now by printing own labels. Not doing catalogues too quick and working on websales :).... (free advertising I hope - watch this space). Yes I did pay a small fortune in domain names but then I think I could have gotten away with 1 or 2 max (the 2nd was a bargain @ 95p for the year and will come in handy). I got 3 (doh) = a little stoopid....whoops. Web domains with wikaniko to start you just need think of a really good name for one (discuss with upline if in doubt) and then buy that but buy the dot com one. That's all you need to start :) and then if you're pc literate (even just a wee bit) it's not difficult to do the forwarding. I found the forwarding easy.

Currently though I'm having probs sorting out my outlook express with server...Can receive mail but not send it. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. (this is with wikaniko) but know technical will be online Monday so it can wait till then...

Nice sunny day here :) Every one enjoy it (for some maybe a fab day to deliver catalogues???? or not as the case may be)...

Im looking at betterwere is there any one in the ne area ?
    Today is yesterdays tommorow :)

Hi there are you in the Sunderland area? I might know just the person to get you started!
  • I have just started with Betterware and I must admit I didnr realise how much preperation there was before you even delivered your first catalogue lol.
I got 150 Cats to start with and it took about an hour or so to put them all in the bags.... this was mainly due to my technique lol.
You have to put your name and tel number on all the order slips which can take ages but I have some small sticky labels so I just printed off a big batch on the PC and stuck them on. Total prep time approx 2 and a half hours (and a few cups of tea lol).
I went out and delivered them this morning and it took about an hour and a half but this was mainly due to every house having stairs at the front.
I had 2 ppl tell me they didnt want it... 1 of which wasnt very polite. I couldnt get access to 2 blocks of flats due to security entrance and nobody answering the buzzer.

So far I have commited about four hours but I intend to speed this up by
    A) not having to put my details on all the order slips as loads of them will be unused.
B)getting a bag like the ones newspaper delivery ppl use cause today I used a smallish back pack and Im sure I wasted loads of time taking it off and getting catalogues out and then going back to the car to get more.

If I am able to get around £150 of orders I will be happy and since Im not working at the moment Im going to go out 5 days a week.... oh and I have asked for more catalogues.

The downside is I never realised how unfit I was :rotfl:

    Sorry to gatecrash :)

We have just started Betterware (On Friday)
We done it before 4 years ago but found it was a lot of hard work and hardly got anything back due to poor areas and no customers, so we gave up after just 5 months.

My parents done it for 7 years and really enjoyed it but had to give it up last month due to poor health, they used to get £20 - £40 a week regular.

So on sunday we put out 160 books, 2 of which we got back which we found on doorsteps on our way home, so i dropped one off to my mum and my godmother and both placed an order LOL! :)
Our co ordinater only gave us 160 books and said stocks are low so thats all they could give us, would of been nice to have more.
He seems very pushy, his expecting us to get over £850 a month (my parents NEVER got anywhere near that!! Nor did we before) and he even called this morning at 9am to check we had put the books out over the weekend!
Really hoping we do well this time round as we really need the extra income albeit pennies x
