Hi
I've read this thread with interest. I am currently on maternity leave, but after 8 failed settling in sessions with the childminder I am unable to return to my job at the moment. I need to earn some extra money and have been looking at Avon/mystery shopping etc. However Betterware does seem good in the respect that you don;t have to buy the books or pay any start-up fees. How long roughly does it take to deliver 250 books? I have a car but if my area was local then would be able to take the pushchair with me. on foot but working from a car and filling up a bag from there I can do about 120 an hour but allow half as long again to pick up becasue of having to knock on some doors to ask for the book back ... and waiting whilst they find it! With a pushcahir will be slower but you could carry books on the chair rather than on your shoulder. Also remember that you don't have to put all 250 out at once it could 3easily be 2 drop outs during the week. Good luck.0

Not sure if anyone can help but I applied to Betterware about 3 weeks ago and have called to chase numerous times but still have had no success. Can any of the Area Co-Ordinators maybe give me a contact of someone local to me?? I'm in the UB9 area.
Thanks0 -
Hi Keri
as an area co-ordinator I often get calls from head office saying someone has complained that I have not contacted them - so very often they are the people who don't have their phones switched on or do not reply when it rings! But if that does not apply to you try asking if head office will put you in touch with your regional manager or if they can actually put you through to the area co-ordinator. Sometimes they will ring me and actually put a customer through so may be able to do it for you aswell. The other thing is that it may be that they ahve no vacancies in your area at present - I know they should really ring you anwyway but they may be waiting a bit to see if anything changes. Hope you manage to get through to someone who can help you.0 -
Thanks Lizzie, I will try again and see if I have any joy!!0

hi, Ijust just started doing Avon a couple of months ago and am really enjoying it and currently making about £50 every campaign. I'm wondering if Betterware is something that would fit around Avon? I'm currently a SAHM to two boys under 2 so trying to make a bit of extra cash! If I were to do this I would be walking as DH has the car for work so not sure if delivering 200+ catalogues would take forever whilst pushing a buggy! My Avon round is about 100 houses and I deliver about 30 books at a time which takes aroundhalf an hour once I've got to my houses. I realise that there's no outlay for this but don't you end up with a load of catalogues sitting inthe house? Also, how often do new catalogues come out?Proud wife to a soldier and mummy to two gorgeous boysDealing with our Debt Barclaycard £2022.98 RBS £1249.86 Next £183.03September Groceries £120/£102.05:( September Packed Lunches 22/6Sealed Pot Challenge #9940

the books come out every 6 weeks, what i do is deliver on a saturday and pick up on a monday - avoid the recycling days!
Delivering is really easy and pick ups are getting better - i tend to put the orderslip in at the front of the bag so the customers can easily see when they pick it up when to put it back out - some people chuck it straight back out some people get anxious if you dont pick it up as they want their orders.
Some people do fit it around Avon.
There is no catch, no outlay, good exercise and its nice meeting people and having a chat - you can brighten up a persons day by simply spending 5 mins with them - taking an interest in them.O/S Debt: PL £[STRIKE]15207.34[/STRIKE] £9884.55; HSBC £4060.99; Tesco£1430.15; M&S £5990.17; Virgin [STRIKE]£5158.69[/STRIKE] £4210.14; Egg £4619.00; O/S = ££30,292.42 AIM - To Be Debt Free 56 months0 -

Just wondering if there is actually an area co-ordinator where you live? Hmm also wondering if that would be something worth considering for yourself if there's not

I started as betterware territory sales agent about 6 days ago and made £112.00 in commission and that was for about 8 hours work. Since my previous job was only £6 per hour and for the same amount of time more than doubled what I could earn.
Now quit my other job and starting f/time with betterware on Monday really looking forward to it. Have good pair of comfy shoes and realise if you are not a walker every muscle in leg aches but hey whats that compared to the money you can earn.0
