Revenge of the tailgated!

I sense much anger here. I have experienced the odd nutter driving too close for comfort but I either speed up or get out of the way. I see no sense in getting so angry, I have no time for 'revenge tactics' and I just let the idiots get on with it and get out of my way.
The roads most people are moaning on here that tailgaters follow them on are roads where it's not safe for them to speed up, or get out of the way for example if they have another few vehicles in front of them.
I tend to slow down to let them over take me but some elderly men just because you are a woman refuse to pass you in places where it's safe to do so. They just insist on tailgating you however slow you go.
Then there are the completely mad drivers who will tailgate you for no apparent reason.
You see them coming up behind you faster than you are driving on a motorway/ 3 lane dual carriageway and as soon as you can you pull over to an inside lane behind another vehicle to let them pass.
They then decide to pull over behind you even though their is no-one behind them and tailgate you again. So you pull over again and they repeat the behaviour.
Finally after a few more minutes of tailgating you they get bored and give the same treatment to someone else. And if the person has a distinctive car or is a foreign plated lorry, you can see them repeat this behaviour again in the distance in front of you.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

like i said just drive slower hold them up a bit longer ,if they are in that much of a hurry they should have got their !!!! in gear and left home earlier , Another good one is if the roads are full of deep puddles keep running through them as that has a habit of making them hang back a bit aswell0

and if they come up behind you on dual carrigeways etc flashing headlights at you just keep waving back at them, get some great facial expressions of em when they do get past i love it0

but what about the car in front of you ???????????????
You let them tailgate them.
And stay well away if possible in case there is an accident.
However the problem situation is when all the lanes to the left of you are full and you can't move to the left to get out of their way, or the lanes to the left of you are for traffic joining on to another motorway. Then you just have to stay exactly where you are.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Get a car like mine, the back washer jet is so knackered it sprays about 3 foot behind, more than enough to get the tailgater. (And still get my back screen)0

I just ignore them and carry on with my driving as normal. I'm not going to break the speed limit for them. If they want to over take then that's up to them. I'm not going to pull up to let them past.0
