Revenge of the tailgated!

I get very wound up by tailgaters. Particularly when I'm abiding by the speed limit & The Tailgater is superglued to my rear bumper.

Last week I was driving along a familiar road and I noticed The Tailgater getting closer & taking up position a few feet from my car. I was approaching a familiar and very deep pothole. A little swerve to the left, as usual, would avoid it. At the last second this is what I did. Half a second later I looked into my rear view mirror to enjoy the spectacle of The Tailgater CRASH VERY HARD INDEED down into the pothole, water splashing everywhere. Mr Tailgater in his now not so shiny black 4 wheel drive didn't get so close after that.

It made my day, in fact it's made my week! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Magic! As another confirmed tailgater-hater, I will now stop complaining about our local roads and steal your methods!

  • I am going against the grain here to say I prefer to just indicate left, slow right down, and let them past, then I just carry on enjoying the radio and thats that..... Life is too short to be stressed while I am driving.....

Oops, didn't mean to press thanks. Doing that just encourages them.

Had some chump in a corsa do this to me in the wifes mr2 once a few years ago, with fog lights blaring out and music booming away spoiling my enjoyment of the roof down on a nice summers evening. No matter what I did, they wouldn't give in. Had half an eaten sloppy pizza on passenger seat which wasn't that nice. I think you can see where I'm going with this.

Made sure no one around, and just about to join A38 at markeaton round about, picked it up and lobbed out the car, straight on to their windscreen, and then floored it in to the distance.

Silly? Yes. Dangerous? Probably. Hillarious? you bet!

I get the silly bit but I like sleeping well, and so far we have letting them go down deep potholes, blocking windscreen and flooring it, I guess you don't know whether they were ok after that......... Just imagine if in your rear view you saw a car skid off road and crash.......... I quoted you purely as you thanked me by mistake :p

When a tailgater is particularly annoying me I just slow right down in the bends and speed back up to the speed limits on the straights lol. Meaning speed back up, not floor it back up to the limit lol.

Well if I saw a burning wreck behind me, I wouldn't lose any sleep ;)

Moral of the story is, if you see a black mr2 in front, don't get within 50m or less, or you're favourite topping might be heading your way.
