William,
Great to see you back and I am so glad that you and the wife had a fanatastic time. Italy sure is a lovely place. Shame about your return journey but hopefully you'll get some good compensation to make up for it.
Hope all has been well at home since you got back.Save £12k in 2017 #14

I do hope that you do not mind me posting this William as an answer to Micron's question. I am the barlady at the Insolvent Inn on Mr NID's new site. We are still finding our feet but it is an adventure. Am having incredible fun and learning a tremendous amount and meeting the most amazing people.
Click on NeverInDoubt's username i will be in the Insolvent Bar after 8pm tonight if would like to catch up. All is well. I do miss Firewalker and William, Worried Jim and UK George so I will keep popping back to 'chat' and catch up!!!Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
William,
hope you are well and just busy having fun with twins and OH. Eagerly awaiting update, please. You were starting something before you went on holiday - how is it going?

Good morning everyone.
Firstly, let me say that today will make 144 days clean. Looking back I didn't expect to be clean this long, and looking forward I hope to be a clean forever!
Ok, the past week I have let myself slip into lethargy. I have spend more than I should, I have not monitored my spending as I norally do and NEED to do, I have not exercised (apart from at work!) and let my targets slip away from from me. In fact I have have suffered what can only be described as a holiday hangover.
Today, I will address this and make adjustments accordingly.
Since we returned from Florence, my children have been very clingy and rather disrubtive at home. My son especially. He has taken to refusing my requests and acting up on the least little pretext. Last night, it came to a head when both of them had a night like we have not had EVER. My daughter woke up screaming, and I mean screaming her head off and came running blindly up the stairs to me and hung onto me for as though life itself depended on it. This was quickly followed by my son in the same vein. When I finally calmed her down, she explained that the nightmare was that someone was taking her away and that she didnt want to go. My son had had the same nightmare. After nearly an hour of cajoling and persuasion, and refusing to let go of mine or my wifes neck, my daughter finally dropped off to sleep and I was able to put her back to bed. My son however refused to sleep, and when he did finally drop off, everytime I put him in his own bed, he would wake up and hold on to me. Finally he and I slept in his bed, with him holding my arm in his vice like grip. We discussed, before he finally fell asleep why the nightmares had come. He told me, through the tears that he was worried we might go away again, and that this time we might not come back. I did all I could to reassure him, but I don't think I quite convinced him just yet. More talking to him today I think.
Firewalker, regarding my project. Bought 8 items, sold 8 items. Profit of £70. £35 to holiday fund, £35 to bills. Original £100 to purchase new stock, that's now on order. I am keeping it all very small, very contained and minimum risk.I also have some interest in some watches that I can source that have secret cameras in them, but with these, I will wait until I have firm orders before getting them.
One thing I find is I get very demotivated very quickly and, because of the situation of not being able to tell my wife of the financial contraints I am working in, I find I have no support network. To tell my wife would be suicidal, and I have already discussed this on here & don't won't to go down that road again.

William, I am so proud of you - well done for both staying clean and the business venture. It is up to you whether and how much you grow it - you have to feel confortable with it.
As to feeling demotivated and without support network - use this site and create your support networks. Keep posting and join in the challenges - challenges to yourself. You can achieve loads by October 24th.
I told you before - in my unit here I was the one who was not told for a long time. Now I am the one who has sworn an oath that I'll increase this unit's wealth. OH is with me - but my support comes from this site.
Look after yourself and the twinnies - hope the insecurity passes soon.

Hi William
I have been a lurker reading your posts and willing you on to stay away from the gambling.
My ex-husband is a gambler and he got himself into debt mainly in the casino on the roulette and poker. He stopped going to the casinos when i met him and over time did clear his debt. I know you feel like you are in a dark tunnel at the moment but if you carry on staying away from gambling as you have been you will clear your debt.
You sound such a kind and caring family man and I wish you success

Hi Tracey, and any lurkers out there...I hope your ex husband is still clean. I regarding the business venture, I am relying on word of mouth from friends and colleagues. The idea being that I have very little funds so what I do buy will have to sell. However. little and often. I was considering joining a challenge but need to get my head toggether first. Going swimming tomorrow. Thanks for all your kind words. I am not so wonderful, I still feel I have let my family down and I have a long way to go to amake it p to them, but I keep trying.0

Good afternoon people. I am on my break from an extremely busy day at work. The day started badly with all the trains from my area being cancelled due to a track fire, which destroyed the signalling cables. This meant that a journey that normally takes an hour and bit, took from 5am to 8am.
145 days & counting. I plan to count up to half a year, then down to 1 year.
I have been lax in my money saving efforts recently. No, I have been very lazy in my efforts. This will stop today. I will redouble my efforts. With this in mind I am planning the following:
Current weight Now Target Weight 19/10/10
13 stone 4lbs 12 stone 0lbs
Current NatWest Card Bill Now Target NatWest Card Bill 19/10/10
£2,000 £1000
Other targets include:
· Swimming for 30 minutes at least 3 times a week for three months
· Build up my time using the cross trainer so I am doing at least 20 minutes four times a week.
· Loose an inch off my stomach (This will be the hardest I think!)
· Ebay like made. Anything and everything that is not nailed down will go towards the NatWest CC.
· Packed lunch every day (without fail).
I think that will be enough to be going on with. More later when I get home.0
