  • Sorry Daksa, she's always maintained that she doesn't receive any help with housing or CT.

She won't say what help she gets with WTC or CTC but has said in the past that she gets nothing. (And it is none of our business, granted - apart from when she's calling OH a tight !!!!!! for not giving her more money - even though she's actually been getting more than she would get on CSA...not for much longer though).

With CC element of CTC she says "everyone knows you can only claim 70% and she doesn't get anywhere near that". As she has failed to provide details of this (which she also says she doesn't have to) we have had to make the assumption that she would receive the full 80% discount when we were calculating her reimbursment for CC.

    She's very hard work....

Sorry, I was picking up on the "she doesn't get any help with tax credits" statement and comparing that to "hardly gets any discount towards CC" and "has informed the IR that she'll only be claiming for half the school holidays" and seeing a glaring anomaly.

Well, she'll still be the one who loses out if you arrange your own childcare LOL. Just double check the order isn't specific in stipulating which childcare you use.

  • Daksa - she talks out of her ar*e all the time...guess I'm just used to it. She lies so much she actually starts to believe what she says.

The order doesn't actually say anything about childcare at all - it just says X has to make DD available for half of all school holidays.

I don't know whether she's mental, or just thick as mince (or both) but she sent a message saying "bye bye holidays" - like she can decide to over rule what a court has decided.....insane....

Oh Maggie, this is all terrible, so sorry to read all this :( What a horrible, horrible woman!! She is of course talking total rubbish about what help she gets. She's working 30 hours, which she is doing I suspect specifically because it takes you onto the next level of working tax credit. She won't be getting help with the rent or council tax, because working tax credit (and child tax credit), of which she will be getting plenty, take you over the threasholds for those benefits. She will also be getting 80% towards childcare costs. I'm sorry, but reading all the things you've said there is no way this stupid, illiterate woman is earning enough to be getting no help!! Everyone else is quite right, involve the police now for every incident. Also agree with your OH only paying what is due under CSA rules. If she goes against what the court have decided should happen in the holidays then take her back again - they take a very dim view of people not listening! Also if the court have said nothing about your OH paying for childcare then don't - leave her to pay for it, she'll lose her childcare place if she doesn't :D Try to ignore the personal comments - she knows perfectly well you're not "irratic" or annorexic, she says things like that to hurt you, and it's working :( She should also be taken out and publically flogged for what she is inflicting on her own daugher, but then that's just my opinion..... I'm sorry to rant, I'm so angry on your behalf, and frustrated that I can't help! I hope it all gets sorted out for you, many hugs :)

Well, HERE is a good reference guide to what to do the moment she breaks the contact order. Is there a warning attached to the order?

Keep positive....my friend had an ectopic and had to have a tube removed and she is now a Mummy to 2 bouncing boys (one only born last Friday as a matter of fact :))

My friend also lost a tube and is now a mum to a boy, girl and twin boys so don't give up hope.
  • Daksa - bless you taking the time to do that :)

There is the following wording on the order:

    Where a contact order is in force: if you do not comply with this contact order;

a you may be held in contempt of court and be committed to prison or fined; and/or

    b. the Court may make an order requiring you to undertake unpaid work ("an enforcement order") and/or an order that you pay financial compensation.

I guess that would be the warning?

I wonder if she's even bothered to read it.

Sorry - but if she's asking for more than what has been agreed/ordered then I think you have every right to see why she needs it? Surely if she was desperate for it and REALLY needed it, she would have no objection in sitting down and showing why? Call her bluff - say no, stick to your agreement and make sure that contact is enforced and her behaviour logged (and reported if necessary) each time.
