Aye, I bet she has *rolls eyes*...more like she's pocketing the full 80% (and yes, it's 80% for a lone parent) reduction and then you/hubby are having to pay full whack on your weeks.

Some women should just not be breeding. or some men for that matter...lol

And I wouls defo say that the stress is hampering your attempt to get pregnant (or is it because you are anorexic?!!!:p) which is a bloody shame for you and hubby:mad:

My tip is to try 3 bottles of Rose wine :T - worked a treat for me!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:yeah but then she'd be an alcoholic anorexic... (3 bottles - jesus, I can't even finish a full bottle now before having to stumble my way to bed!!! ahhh to be young and alcohol tolerant!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

I reckon I must have been an irratic, anorexic alcoholic at some point then...:rotfl:
I really hope we've managed to put a bit of a smile on your face...

OK really just one more thing!!
She called last week (or rather got DSD to call) and then dictated a rant down the phone (you could actually hear her in the background:().

In it she threatened to come and "bray our door down" (isn't she a doll? pure class) if a pair of boots DSD had left at ours weren't delivered to hers that day. Now that's kind of threatening isn't it? Also (just to make it more depressing) DSD actually edited that part, as she did in other parts where she removed the word "crappy"..and others.

How do we record this sort of thing? Obviously the phone will only store it for 7 days. If we logged the contents would this count?

I know I'm grasping at straws here but we are not continuing living this abnormal life.

    Again would appreciate ANY feedback.

Do you think it's worth copying this on the families board as well?

any chance you get her on loud speaker and record it on a dictaphone?

I expect you're right LG. It''s pretty rubbish - I suffered an ectopic last year and lost a fallopian tube in the process. Am trying to be really sensible about drinking etc and we've just started some tests. The real kicker is that if we need IVF we won't get any help because OH already has a child. Good eh?

Not a bad idea - anyone got a dictaphone (cue terrible joke:rotfl:)

I know I shouldn't let it get to me but I'm really peed off that she's called me anorexic. I'm quite conscious of my appearance (a throwback to my goofy, brace-mouthed, speccy youth) and although I'm slim I wouldn't say I was scrawny. I think she's annoyed because she spends 5 nights a week down at the gym (not bad for a single mum of 2 who's always crying the poor tale - her kids are in childcare while she's there) and she's still got an !!!! like Bella Emberg. :p

The real sticking point is the not being able to get rid of the number isn't it! And if he's a tradesman then presumably she'd be able to get hold of any replacement. So that really leaves recording the calls and that might be a good way to go. I'm pretty sure that getting a young girl to pass on threatening messages would be considered highly inappropriate, if not emotional abuse.

When she dictates a rant does she have the phone on loudspeaker at her end? Would your ex be able to just quickly tell his DD that he's having to record all calls - to satisfy the legal requirement that the other party has to be aware that the call is being recorded. Technically it's his daughter making the call, not the mother, so she wouldn't have to be made aware (I like that bit).

I've only ever recorded land line messages for my own use but I know it is possible to get devices that plug between a mobile and a headset to allow you to record calls. A thread on the techy forum might elicit some more specific help?

  • I've just had a look at that hug!!!! Erm......not the kind of hug I had in mind on this occasion!!

Thanks for letting me let off a bit of steam. I just don't see how anyone can be so vindictive to inflict this amount of cr*p on other people. I wouldn't let anyone else in my life make me feel like this.

She's getting a bigger shock this weekend anyway - OH is putting her CM down to what to should be (worked out all above board on the CSA calculator!!). Luckily I'm going to be abroad when it happens. Should be fun........
