Thanks for that Hayley! I didn't want to repeat myself entertainment-wise but got an idea from that...

Here's the 'final' list- may change it if anyone comes up with a super idea!

    A is for Arrival
Please let us know when you will be arriving so we can greet you.

    B is for Burn
Please don’t let sun burn ruin your holiday! Stock up on high factor sun cream.

    C is for Ceremony
The day and time of the ceremony will be finalized when we arrive, so as soon as we know, you’ll know.

    D is for Dress Code
We want everyone to be comfortable on our wedding day so no morning suits required! Can gentlemen please dress in neutral colours (shorts are allowed!) and ladies dress in Caribbean brights!

    E is for Entertainment
The entertainment at the hotel is somewhat hit and miss so we plan on making our own entertainment in the Mambo Pool Bar most evenings, please join us if you wish.

    F is for Flight
The flight is roughly 8 hours so bring lots of reading material and remember to wander around the plane a lot to prevent seizing up.

    G is for Gifts
Please do not feel obligated to bring gifts. We expect nothing more than your presence and we certainly do not want you using up your luggage allowance by cramming a toaster into your suitcase!

H is for Hens and Stags
We’re having Hen and Stag parties before we leave… but there may be a little ‘reunion’ before the wedding!

    I is for Information
If we have missed anything from this A-Z then please don't hesitate to contact us.

J is for Just in Case
Make sure that you bring all of the usual ‘Just in Case’ medication including heat rash medication (such as Benadryl) as it is expensive to buy it at the resort.

    K is for Kayaking
There are plenty of watersports to do such as kayaking, windsurfing, body boarding, snorkeling and more if you’re feeling active! Don’t forget your free Scuba lesson in the pool!

    L is for Luggage Allowance
Be careful to note your luggage allowance when you book your holiday and don’t go over it. Girls… do you really need 8 pairs of shoes?!

    M is for Money
The local currency is Dominican Pesos but US dollars are accepted in most places also. We’d recommend you bring a mixture. You won’t need too much unless you’re planning to do lots of trips or go shopping as the resort is all inclusive.

    N is for Nourishment
Food is available nearly all day from the buffet restaurants and pool bars. You can eat in any restaurant on the complex but you must have your evening meal in your hotel. Don’t forget to book early for the speciality restaurant as tables fill up quickly!

    O is for Ocean World
We recommend a trip to Ocean World whilst you’re there, especially if you wish to swim with dolphins or sharks, or if you simply want a hug from a sealion!

    P is for Photographs
Please take lots of photos! We’d love to see everyone’s pictures when we return, and to steal our favourites to put in our wedding album.

Q is for Que Sera Sera
The way of life is very relaxed so don’t forget to chill out and go with the Dominican flow!

    R is for RSVP
We would appreciate if you could get this to us by XXX

    S is for Squeamish
There is a bit of seaweed floating around in the sea so anyone who’s a bit squeamish about things between their toes may wish to bring some swim shoes.

    T is for Towels
Towels are available for free from the poolside and can be replaced as many times as you wish so don’t worry about filling your suitcase with heavy beach towels.

    U is for Umbrella
There is an umbrella in every bedroom. If it looks like rain, take it with you because when it rains it pours!

    V is for Vaccinations
For the area we’ll be in there are no special vaccinations required as long as you are up to date with Hepatitis, Tetanus and Typhiod.

    W is for Water
It is recommended that you don’t drink the tap water, there is filtered water available at every bar and in the mini fridge in your room.

    X is for X-Ray
We hope that no-one will need any medical assistance but please make sure that you have travel insurance in case of any emergencies.

    Y is for You!
This is your holiday so make sure that you enjoy it! Don’t feel like you have to spend a lot of time with everybody else, we want you to have a brilliant time too.

    Z is for Zephyr
As we’re going to be on the sea there will be a warm breeze but don’t forget that the sun is very hot so remember to cover up!

Sounds good Birdie, just one comment, your weddingmoon is scaring me simply with the number of exclamation marks contained in the A -Z! (!!!!!!) Almost every sentence ends with one, maybe consider limiting them a bit?

Thanks! I might change R to Rum since the RSVP will have the date to reply by on anyway, and it might be nice to mention the Rum since there's so much of it around!

Thanks for your post poppyscorner! It's very reassuring to hear from someone who got married over there! I'm relieved that you say the videographer was good too! How much was it for your photographer and videographer if you don't mind me asking? I just keep seeing that they are 'payable locally' but I have no idea what to budget for them!

We've booked it now as a renewal of vows and I think that we'll keep it that way. We're both really quite lazy and disorganised so it seems like the best thing for us!

I think I'll stay away from having guitarists play! LOL!

Lol yeah defo stay away from them they appeared on some of the pics and they look really miserable so they spoilt some of them they basically just showed up and made a noise

Anyway from memory the price for the photography was $300 (US Dollars everything was charged in dollars rather than DR peso's) this included them coming to the room and photographing the getting ready part the ceremony itself and about an hours worth of photos afterwards.
A few days after the ceremony we had to go choose the prints for the album and they just bring them all in 6 x4 size. We chose I think 25 pics to enlarge there was over 100 pics to choose from they enlarged them and put them in an authentic dr album which was lovely to look at at first but it fell apart fairly quickly on coming home :( so said photos were put into a new album where they are to this day tucked away in my attic for when the kids are older and maybe wanna see them.

Videography we initially werent gonna have but they said well just let them come and video it and then its up to you if you buy it was free for them to be there taking the footage and we really werent gonna buy but then we watched it and inevitably wanted it ex MIL payed for it and cant remember the price in dollars but she moaned about it constantly afterwards costing £112 out of her bank account back home :rotfl:

hope that helps a little am glad you liked the que sera sera idea:D
any more questions feel free to ask and if I can remember I will tell all lol ah forgot to say earlier our cake was sponge cake with white icing on but it was like a cream kind of icing and they had a bride and groom cake topper on it wasn't very nice if i'm honest but I wasn't bothered because only a few people wanted to have some with it being so hot and I just classed my real one as the one I was having back home.

At our hotel they only did weddings at 11am  they said this was because any later and it was too hot and we weren't allowed to choose a time this meant a really early start for everyone and i was cross because I kind of envisaged a late afternoon thing from reading other peoples reviews of weddings there the registrar a woman called bienvineida dumet covers all of the weddings at that part of the island.

Ceremony is really quick and I couldnt wait to get outta my dress lol it was kinda surreal when we finished and were in the pool an hour later !

Anyway hope that helps a little :) wow hadn't realised how long that was :rotfl::rotfl:
    xx
