i never feel christmassy usually but really looking forwardd to this one. Feel more in control than I have done in years - the budgeting has forced me to prepare a little earlier than my usual last weekend before xmas dash... i've even taken two days off next week to stay home (unheard of!!!!) so that once tree goes up on monday I am ready to wrap the presents etc. My kids dont know whats got into me!

Yes - we get a huge 8ft beast every year, but last 2 years they have shed terribly. I might look into getting fake one next year - I reckon a good quality one that size will cost an arm and a leg though so wont be doing it this year!

I havent even got a tree yet i dont know if il trim up becausse room needs decorating and tbh il keep it simple lol lol id have to buy all xmas decs etc etc xxx im not bah humbug but i dont think i can afford to buy lots of xmas decorations

Asda and Homebase have really lovely but cheap decs. Can get "base packs" for around £5 and then the "posh decs" in Asda are 3 for £3 and in Homebase £1.99 each.

I already had my base decorations in silver but changed my colour scheme for the "posh decs" from pink to white (mainly due to DS lol) and it cost me £25/£30 ish to do a 6ft tree. You don't even need to do the "posh ones" this year, just get 2/3 packs of the base decs and you're off :xmastree:

I've had the same decorations for around ten years now, paid for on my Lloyds credit card so I am probably still paying them off lol!
