The pattern used to be that in the summer (on our anniversary of opening) we would have a lovely fancy pants dinner in London - usually it would be Michelin places or nice hotels like the Ritz, Claridges, the Hilton etc, and that would be just for the members of staff (not partners). Inevitably we would end up dancing somewhere at 4am though - I dont think I ever made it home after one of the summer jollies! Then the Christmas party would be for staff and their partners, and that would often be a weekend away - we have had a weekend in Brighton, Bath, Oxfordshire - a great one somewhere out near Bristol where we just took over this great little boutique hotel - it was fantastic! Such fun, and no worrying about annoying the other guests :-) The Christmas party is always in January though, to make sure that everyone can make it as Xmas is so hard to get convenient dates, and that's great as 4 of our team have birthdays in Jan so it ties in well with that too.0
