I've had the same decorations for around ten years now, paid for on my Lloyds credit card so I am probably still paying them off lol!

LOL, I look at many of the 'things' I have and think exactly the same thing Woo!

LOL! I'm still paying for a car I had 3 cars ago in my loan (just kept topping it up whenever I needed a new one - never again, this car HAS to last me enough years for me to pay the loan off and pay cash for a new one)

I don't mind that I spent the money - it was money I earned in job 2 and Christmas is my favourite time of year (and I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my tree :rotfl:)

It's terrible when you start thinking back! I used to buy bottles of champagne on my credit card to drink with the girls before heading up the local High Street, who did I think I was lol???

kat i'm the same, i rolled too many cars into the next car loan, never again. I could do with replacing my current car but not until i'm debt free and have saved some money.

i'm almost finished with my christmas shopping but just can't work my way up to wrapping things. We won't put up a tree until much nearer christmas, probably during the week leading up to it. I hate all the mess it creates.

    Hi Lemon Tree

The final part of my car loan also got transferred to the Lloyds credit card, so I am still paying for that as well!

My tree went up last weekend :)

I also spent 3 hours on Sunday wrapping and I'm still not done. I don't have loads to do, but I want them to look perfect so it takes me hours because I am really not very good at it lol!

Perhaps I'm weird (oK, no perhaps about it) but i get more pleasure from planning something I think I really need and then finding it and getting a bargain rather than the "easy come, easy go" attitude I had before. I didnt used stop to think about what I was buying long enough to even notice whether I really needed or even wanted it - it was already in my bag before i stopped to think about it. I had so much fun with BF and his little girl the other week when we went out to buy me some fabric to make my dress for the xmas party in January - previously I would have spent a couple of hundred on a dress, probably a couple more on shoes, bag, accessories etc, I'd wear it once and then it would sit in my cupboard for perhaps years... I have now bought some gorgeous crushed deep red velvet (bought as I already have red velvet shoes and bag!) and my whole ensemble will therefore come in at around £20... and there is loads left over to make perhaps a shawl, maybe even a cummerbund for BF (LOL - if only he would be so twee)
