When I am shopping I am normally on a mission - I know roughly what I want and I know where to go, then people just stop dead in front of you or you get like 5/6 people standing in a shop doorway having a chat!!
Needless to say, 90% of this years shopping has been done online

Just tried to order Tesco shop to be delivered next Fri, keeps saying there is an issue with my card though. Am wondering if this is because the account is empty, but I thought it would be ok as they don't take the money till the day the shop is delivered?LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

must really get in the mood to do my xmas shopping, like the rest of you its all the other people who get in the way that put me off. I have often thought that it would be great to do all my xmas shopping and put up all my xmas decorations the day before xmas eve like many years ago but to scared to take a chance think it would be more xmasy if i left it late, cos i get sooo fed up of going out and spending money. One place i dont go the week after xmas is the shops i usually dont want to see another shop as long as i live, not even interested in the so called sales either.:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

just noticed your post about trying to do your shopping online with tesco. I was told by my bank that everytime you use your card it looks at your balance there and then, usually even though the money may not leave your account straight away the amount is put on hold. Hope you get the jist of this.:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

Thanks Amber, I think your right It must check to see if funds are available and obviously there not until payday!
I will just have to go back to it on Fri and hope a slot is still available, if not I will be traipsing round Tescos
I will have this problem at the end of every month.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)
