Apparently the dog has perked up and they have cancelled the appointment for today, I'm pleased obviously but very aware it could go on like this for weeks. My parents would never keep her going for their sake though.

How can a 2 bed house take 3 hours to clean? Maybe I need to do it a bit more frequently and I wouldn't take so long!

I am a little nervous about all the neighbours coming over, having my house judged etc as I don't really know any of them! I'm sure after a few vodkas we'll all be the best of friends :)

so am i and all we've achieved today is to batten down the hatches against winter - calor gas heater is inside and on, winter second pair of curtains are up. and as an aside i've defrosted, sorted and listed the contents of the freezer. OH has put up another shelf in the kitchen for my lovely new spice jars.

just think you will have cleaned your house for xmas nice and early you will be able to relax now. The only problem is keeping it that way. Good news on the dog hope things work out well, know how emotional it is when i was young we had a dog that went to the vets four times with a view to not coming back, everytime i had to leave the house before he went because it was too upsetting and everytime i came back he had returned, it was'nt his time to go eventually when he was 17 he decided it was time to go. Hope i hav'nt upset you too much have a great time to night remember keep the house nice and tidy then and it will be one less job at xmas.x
