Thanks guys, I'm ok as I can see it's the right thing for her, she's a 15 1/2 year old springer.

My parents are taking her over tomorrow to see what the vet says, they will never make the decision on your behalf though, so I hope my parents go through with it as its only delaying the inevitable otherwise.

Aww I'm so sorry to hear about that - dogs are a massive part of the family and it's always sad. I think you're right though, if it's time it's time and in that way we are kinder to animals than people sometimes. Take care (and a day off to cry) xxx

Thanks for all your lovely posts. The appointment is at midday so will await an email from my mum (she will be too upset to call).

I am having my hair dyed at 9am then back to clean, clean, clean! I am having a night out with the neighbours and were drinking at mine first so have to make sure the house is sparkly! There are 9 of us in total and we are watching the X Factor before going up the Local High Street
