evening all, congrats to the winners and craftyribbons selectees!! looking forward to seeing what you all make, I considered it when I saw the post on here but I thought I've got enough on my plate at the moment!

what an awful story Tomsmom, I'd be so freaked out! hope youre feeling brighter tomorrow.

Jowri well done on finishing your race! you should be so proud of yourself :)

padster hope you feel better tomorrow xx sending hugs to you and everyone else too ;)

I went to the craft fair today that Louby-lou had a stall at, she's a lovely lady and her table looked gorgeous! there was no one else at the fair selling nappy cakes or similar so I hope she did well! I'm sure she'll be along to tell us all about it sooner or later!

I'm off back to the drs in the morning, dont think I am feeling the full effect of the meds yet although I am feeling perkier in myself. I've been really tired though and needing a sleep in the day the past week or so and was a bit puzzled until I mentioned it to my OH (whos a pharmacist) and he said it's more than likely due to my increased tablets, as they cause drowsiness (should have figured that out myself really lol, I just thought I was getting lazy from not working :rotfl:) I detest coffee so may try and get some lucozade or red bull from town tomorrow as I need snap out of it and be making the most of my time out - and not sleeping my life away!

Tomsmom, so sorry to hear the news of your neighbour, must have been a bit of a shock x

Tiredmom, course I can send you some baby images, no worries. I have a little Mackintosh rose coaster kit (without the coaster, used it for something else) I could send you, any good? It's this but as I say no longer with the coaster x

Wanna-b-rich, congratulations on the top 5 on Crafty Cardmakers!

Mel & Furry, congratulations on winning Choccy's challenge xxx

Gemm, good idea to go back to the GP, hope you get on ok x

Thrifty, colouring is such a tonic I think x

Welcome back ScattyJan and well done on your win x

Off to bed now, I am shattered. Cafe Rouge was err, different! The food was gorgeous but they were short staffed so our meal took over 3 and a half hours!!! We were offered 20% off the bill and free drinks and we didn't complain, maybe if we had it would have been free! The staff were lovely but very overstretched.

    Night all xxx

Snipped you, if not too late yes please to the Mackintosh Rose if you really don't mind. It will be perfect for my Aunt in Law who is 86 next month and we are banned from "buying" presents so I can do this and incorporate it into something for her.

Tired Mom she is 5 months , I havent seen her for about 5 weeks so really noticed how she had changed, she giggles away, I could just sit and hug her all day every day
    xx

That's such a lovely age and yes at that stage they do change so fast.

Hope everyone has this lovely sunshine. I have the mechanic coming this morning and am trying to do some cleaning but have a clear dining room table so think some crafting may win this afternoon.

Who is setting the next challenge on here please?

I see gemma beat me to it! It was so nice to meet you. I hope you got some good ideas i think you should def get into doing craft fairs.

As i told gemma i was up untill 2am the night before doing stuff and i am so shattered now i really can't be bothered to do anything today but i will go to baby group as i didn't spend too much time with him yesterday.

you just missed my boys gem, Mum bought them down and the baby was a good conversation starter. I am not to good at thinking of something to say to the customers. Everyone had a catch phrase, like it's all my own own work so i started to say there all calorie free but hubby kept laughing and putting me off.

The morning was quiet but it was packed from 12 and i stayed an extra hour after it had closed as the place was still busy and it was a good job as in that last hour i sold 3 more things one was a big hamper and it all helps.

not much stock went when you see how much i took but i got quite a few orders and took deposits which was great. It is really hard to judge these things but all the card making crafts like bookmarks, notebooks, memo holders and even cards went down like a lead balloon yet i sold out of them at an art festival. Some people can be quite rude. One woman said i don't get it it's only sticky notes why would anyone want them.

The organisers were great and really looked after us they gave us tea, biscuits, sarnis and fruit i could go on but i won't bore you any more.

I will blog some pics later and have a good catch up.
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)

I think its my turn to set the challenge because I won the last one! Unless anyone else objects shall we have a theme of "purple/ lilac"? I love the colour but never seen to use it when I make a card. I'll draw a winner at the end who'll get a little prize!

Louby-Lou-Lou - glad to hear that you're fair went well yesterday!!! I bet you'll get loads more orders off the back of it!!!! Can't wait to see your pics!

    Hi everyone! :hello:

How's everyone today? It's lovely and sunny here! :j Made another card, this one for my best friend, here's a link if anyone fancies a look: http://jalbum.net/create/631183/ (it's the second card, the one with presents on the front) I'm pleased with it, think I have got better since my first card...onwards and upwards! :D

Made another one too, for Father's Day which my Dad was really pleased about - not a "craft-y" one but more a funny one with a picture of him and Mum and a funny caption. Making cards is so much fun :)

I was wondering what everyone means when they talk about challenges? Sorry if I'm being dim :o

    Morning all!

well I have tried to catch up with the 8 pages but have just skim read, so a big congrats to all who have won!

.Melissa thank you for my stash swap, it must have come on saturday, I thought it was off my mum as your handwriting is identical! Beautiful things in there thankyou so much. I need to sort yours out still sorry!

Furry thank you for the beautiful card swap, I love it! Will get yours done and posted, I am behind cause of being so busy last year!

Well camping was good .... The wind was awful and pulled loads of the pegs out, the kids settled well first night but as oh and I got into bed our airbed was flat! So we are both in a lot of pain from sleeping on the floor. oh came back home to pick up some extra jumpers as it was freezing on sat mor i g and bought a new aired for us. Sat we went to ho.y island, over the sea, kids were excited to drive through the sea! Was beautiful really pretty! We hoped that the wind would calm down as we wanted to go on a boat trip to the farne island but it was too rough so the trips were stopped! We had a big BBQ on sat night which was lovely but weird when I haven't touched a drop of food over the last 3 weeks! Sunday the wind had calmed and it was quite warm, but the sea was still too rough so we drove home stopping at a indoor play place on the way home for the kiddies.

Had 2 lots of bad news yesterday from my mum. My sister asked her to call meto let me know y uncle had died last week, which as awful as it sounds I am glad as when I saw hi. At grains funeral he was all over the place, was drunk and also was filthy and a tramp, he has various illnesses and at least he isn't suffering now! But then my mum told me my sisters dog bell a had died, she was a beautiful staffy and was rescued a long time ago! She swell is no longer suffering. It was nice of my sister to let me know co sideringwe do t talk so had to send her a message to say thanks. Just a shame that everything is going downhill again.

The good news is .... That when OH started this job it was only a week contract, he has been there a year now!!! And he is in line for a promotion! I am so happy for him, they just need to tie up a few loose ends and it will be official! :D

So sorry for the long post, I need to make 2 cards before Wednesday and sort out melissas stash swap so need to be busy xxx

eTA I caught up with the 400blog posts last night if I haven't commented on yours can you let me know. I haven't done any si ce last night.

Jo_Rourke, I can't see your card from the link? I'd love to see it if someone can help me find it? A challenge is when someone sets a 'theme' and people join in making things that fit the theme. The challenges we run on here are just for fun and each one lasts for 2 weeks. Anyone can enter, you just need to leave a pic or a link to your card on the thread so we can see what you've done. Does that make sense?

Mel, purple/lilac sounds a good theme, not sure what I have in those colours, have to go have a look x

Tiredmom, of course it's not too late, I'll send you the rose kit and some baby images later in the week x

It's lovely and warm here, got washing on the line and in the machine. Got a baby card and nappy cake to try and get made while DS2 isat preschool this morning, better get on with it!
