Big hugs to Rusty and Thrifty I hope you both see light at the end of your very dark tunnels soon.

2 of my friends husbands have lost there jobs this past month and another is waiting for the axe to fall, I just wonder where it is going to end, I remember in the 80s OH went down to a 3 day week for a few months but I managed to pick up some bits of shop work to fill in so we did not feel the full effect then and now we are both retired so at the moment I sort of end up feeling guilty that my life is stable when so many other are struggling, so hugs to anyone who is worried xxx

So sorry to hear some of you are having such a hard time. I truly hope things start to look up for you, Rusty and Thrifty.
The Wife- That's awful news about your friend's husband.
Hugs to everyone who needs them.

My friend had the worst week ever last week. She had a miscarriage, lost an important court case and her husband ended up in hospital. She was going in for her D&C this morning & had a scan first, only to be told they have found a heartbeat! She is up there now being treated for shock! I am just so over the moon for them both. It was the ray of sunshine they both needed. :j

Rusty Hope you get on ok at the docs. My mum used to be a doc receptionist years ago so unless things have changed they have no medical training - so how on earth are they allowed to make decisions as to whether you see / speak to a doc or not

thrifty Hugs and I hope everything works out ok for your OH - definately not what you need. Hang in there.

pappillon Ouch! Hope DD's foot is on the mend soon

emmabo - great news about your friend

Wifey that's such a shame for your friend's husband, hopefully he will make a full recovery. Isn't it terrible how life just seems to keep hitting some people over and over. Found this yesterday bloghopping and instantly thought of you - hopefully it'll make you smile.
