JHB, your story about your daughter really made me smile, good on ya!

I'm sitting here wondering what to do, I was watching create and craft tv this morning and saw the Cricut bundle with the Gypsy. OH says he would buy it for me ( he's forgotten about the Robbie Robo sitting on my work space) but what should I do as I'm sure he's after yet another motorbike and they ain't cheap.
Gah! Would I use it? I've never even fired up the Robo, not connected it or anything. What about the Gypsy, anyone out there used one or seen one? Does anyone have a Cricut?
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!

Wifey ...Louby lou has a cricut and DTB

Just before i had my robo i looked into both. But opted for the robo as i thought you would be abit limited with the cricut as you can only do shapes that you have the cartridge for. ( If what i read was correct)

So i would say it depends if you dont use Robbie because hes awkward to operate ,the cricut looks alot easier. or if you just dont use die cuts ? If its the latter well i would suggest he treats you to a week away in the sun instead ;)

I have a cricut expression. I's really easy to use and doesn't have to be attached to a computer. If you use it standalone (which I do as I don;t have a laptop), you have to buy the cartidges to cut out shapes. They're pretty expensive but can be picked up for £20-£25 each on ebay.
You can attach it to a pc and use software to give you more options - I think once you have that software you can use it to join letters up to make words etc whereas with the cartridhes you can cut out individual letters only. The cricut software is called design studio but you can also use other programs like 'Sure Cuts a Lot' and 'Make the Cut' with it.

    I luuurve my cricut.

My friend who also has one has the gypsy too. From what I have seen you can use it to design on the move and then attach it to the cricut when you get home and it prints out your designs.

There's a cricut group on UK scrappers here where they're very friendly and can answer any questions you have

Well I haven't had the chance to get any crafting done this weekend - we decided to change our bedroom around on Friday and that took hours. Then I spent most of yesterday cleaning up all the mess. My poor new big shot is stitting neglected!

Mumoffour77 -congratulations on your sales!! Hope your craft fair went well yesterday.

The-Wife -beautiful Tilda - I love what you've done with the ribbon. Your vintage card is stunning - love the bow and think your perfume bottle card is my favourite - such a pretty, classy card!

Flourgirl - did you manage to find those Wild Rose Studio papers - if not I got an email today from Crafters Cove saying that they stocked them:
    http://www.crafterscove.co.uk/acatal...er_Stacks.html
Your Prima card is lovely - I think that image is one of my favourites by Lili. Your new blog is fab too - I love the owls.

Wishfulcompter - I am now following you on your new blog!! Your nappy cake is fabulous and so are your cards - I think my favourite is the lady sitting in the cocktail glass - I love red and black together.

Pointofnoreturn - great corset card - love the black lace across the top.

    OAP - welcome back!

CraftyJuJu - sorry I can't comment on your bracelets - this laptop wont let me access facebook. Hope Alex feels better soon.

Wam - I hope you feel better soon.

Rusty - Your mouse card is so pretty - I love the colours and that pink lace looks fab!

Mad-frog - I bought my MME papers from all over the place - I'll dig some links out for you later.

Dawnteabag - welcome back!!!!!! Your scrapbook page is stunning.

Sally - sending you big hugs - what a nightmare!!

TinyPablo - great cards! I love the girl on the cupcake cake - its my favourite - love the ticket stamp, and that huge flower on the last card is gorgeous.

Paddingtondoo - love your mouse card - those blue flowers look stunning! Your Sookie card is gorgeous too - love the way you've applied the gems to the strip of card, and your mushroom card is so cute!

Craftygranny - your wings card is lovely - I love the bow.
  • I've not had a chance to do any crafting this weekend either

My class for the Cybercrop is now on UKS and so far everyone seems to like it
