    Hello ladies :D
And yes, that is a big smile on my face :D
Last night didn't go quite to plan as he had to work late - but today has been a very good day, and it's not over yet. ;)

Rusty - good luck with the CD. I don't know how anyone could do it - 4 days without solid food has nearly killed me! On the other hand, I'm wearing a lovely dress today that I bought last year but never wore as it didn't fit. I've lost half a stone this week! I really wanted to lose one and a half stone, so I'm hoping this might motivate me into diet and exercise. That and the thought that I have someone to look good for now. ;)
Sally - I think your daughter has it spot on - what a B!!!!!!. I've always counted myself lucky that DD's father never made any effort to keep in touch with her when we split (she was 2 at the time) - and he lived within 2 miles of us until she was 12; he's still within 4 miles now. (((Hugs)))
maryop - I hope you have a lovely week away and that the weather holds up for you. :)
DTB - glad to hear you got back safely (finally!!). It must have been quite an adventure for &son, and a good learning experience for him. :)

Thanks to the ladies who commented on my fb status last night. I hope you don't mind that I deleted my status - he's now on my friends' list, and I didn't want him reading the comments and thinking that I'd been talking about him. :o It's still early days, and I don't want to scare him off. :p:o He seems very keen so far tho. :)
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

Packed (well more or less..............lol), given key yo neighbour to feed cats.........all sorted -I think.

Can I pick your brains ? I've been printing out pictures of trees on A4 paper and sticking tags on with family names...............they're for my family scrapbooks and I think they need a sort of 'frame' round them.......printed them on white paper (mistake -should have gone for something else) so I want them to blend in a bit with whatever paper I use to stick them on..........I'm thinking along 'green/brown' if you know what I mean.
Any ideas ? I've gone through various sites and can't seem to find anything
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

    Hello Ladies

....... but after the traumatic week I've had and finding out the shocking news, I'm finding it hard to get motivated today.

    Sorry to snip your post.

Sal, you're doing great in what are unbelievably trying circumstances.

Keep your chim up! I'm always around if you need a chat via PM.

My ex offered to take "&son" overnight tonight because he thought I would be exhausted which was completely out of character. When he picked him up he said 'By the way, I'm getting married next June (I knew they were engaged because he changed his status to engaged on facebook but he's never bothered to tell me). I"&son" is going to be an usher, which is nice and then he said 'but you'll need to come and collect him from the reception!:eek::mad::mad::eek::eek: Some people! - They have no idea.

I've had a little potter to the craft shop today as it's moved premises to a bigger shop. Was good and didn't buy anything.

I've lso filled a basket with promarkers at Creative Craft World - they have 15& discount this weekend which works out cheaper than angel crafts is you don;t want so many. I had 15 in my basket for just over £20 inc p and p. But then I decided I didn't actually NEED them so I've emptied the basket again.

Have had a little play on my cricut - making some gift bags. Will blog them soon hopefully.

Well I think I have decided that I am going to go away for that weekend and let him sort out the logistics. Failing that one of my friends has offered to do it, which is very generous given that it's being held a good hour away from here.
Popped to the hairdressers this afternoon for a cheer up and he suggested sending "&son" with a camp bed so that he could camp out in their room for their honeymoon night :rotfl::rotfl::T:T:rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you all ladies for taking the time to read through my thread and for your encouraging words.

I've always thought I was quite strong, but when I got the solicitor's letter yesterday, I just thought - why don't I just give up - but I owe it to the children to keep on trying.

JHB - I've been thinking that lately too - why didn't I just let sleeping dogs lie!

Does he still have no contact despite living quite nearby?

Dawnteabag - thanks for the offer of a chat via PM too, much appreciated.
