  • Just a flying visit, so hugs to those poorlies and sorry if I've missed anyone.

Tomsmum - I use white card from Poundland or print directly onto watercolour paper/card when I'm painting. I've found that if you set the printer onto draft, it prints much quicker and the ink doesn't tend to bleed when using watercolours. If you get bleeding with Promarkers on your card I spray a light coat of value hairspray onto the card and then heat set it - it seems to do the trick.

Rusty - re the card from the Papermill. I had three boxes of the "white" and found the same as you, but weirdly, it only seems to be 1/3 boxes the rest are definately white. I've given the kids the dirty cream looking card for their homework, but will definately inspect the papers closely on future purchases.

For those of you who already have cuttlebugs look away now - you have been warned!

Saucy - This is the blue cuttlebug - I saw it on ebay. I'm getting the green one though (This weekend :j:j)

wanna-b-rich Thanks for the tips on watercolouring - after all the faffing about I had trying to do my last card this is exactly what I need to know.

Rusty Did your OH make it home ok? I heard the Inverness road was shut today but wasn't sure about the Aberdeen one.

marg Thank you for letting me know i'll tell her in the morning she will be delighted it got there safely and that you like it . She was really worried it would get squashed or that everything would fall out.
She chose everything for the fat page i'm only allowed to help colour and stick . She has a better eye than me she puts the strangest things and colours together and they look ok.

  • Ooooohh that is pretty...I'm not a pink kind of girl really but most craft stuff seems to be green or pink, and the green would have clashed with everything I own, haha.

That's beautiful...would it be greedy to have two cuttlebugs :rotfl:

  • My son weighs his too before he flies . Its fun to watch him stood there with a suitcase dangling in the air and him adding things or taking things out to get the weight right .
Hopefully You'll be fine and you won't get any charges. Have a safe trip.

LOL - it's the same with me. I weigh them and then think just this one more thing!!!

Anyway - thanks for all your good wishes. Must have brought me luck as my cases were actually just under my allowance weight!!!!!! No trouble at this end either. So I now have a whole case of craft stuff that needs to be put away!!!

I am so tired as did not manage to sleep on flight. I was asleep here at 8pm and then awake again now!!

Thanks for the support everyone. Trying to keep our wedding as low key as possible, I'm not really into the whole wedding thing, but it seem to be spiraling out of control. I want to make as much as possible myself but I'm thinking I may have taken on too much, my 'to do' list doesnt seem to be getting any smaller! I know it will be worth it in the end and I can say I did it all myself :p (I'm not very good at accepting offers of help, I don't think anyone else will do things the way I want them).

So pleased to here you got back ok and your bags were ok. Always takes the boys a few days to get back a normal sleep pattern when they come back. Hope you manage to get some sleep soon.
