Rusty - the garden looks lovely, I hope you made OH do all the heavy lifting! We gravelled the back garden in our last house - it looked lovely but the only problem was the neighbours' cats using it as a giant litter tray!
    Melissa - congratulations!
Gemma - are you back at work yet? I hope you're taking it easy and feel better soon x
Flourgirl - I hope today was not too harrowing. I can't imagine the sorrow of losing someone so young.

I bit the bullet and spent my $20 blog win, after receiving no reply to my email regarding the deduction not showing on my order after applying the code. They've deducted the full $32 including p&p (£22) from my account. I've emailed asking for a refund asap, but have yet to receive a reply to that. I ordered 4 Tim Holtz distress inks and 2 Rangers liquid pearls.

The weather's absolutely miserable here, so for the first time in years I'm actually doing a pile of ironing in one go :p. I usually just iron things as needed, and even then only if they absolutely need ironing. For example, in November 2008 I gave my old iron away to a student friend, then didn't take my new iron out of its box until February 2009! :o As the ironing board is in the room where I craft, the plan is to put the board away and clear some space for the treadmill to go in the room. We've had the treadmill in the garage for about 3 or 4 years, and it also has never been out of the box. :o
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

JHB I went back to work today but only did the morning so I am still taking it easy! how annoying about your order, and they dont seem to like responding to emails do they! perhaps email the place you won the code from and say how disappointed you are and see if they can do anything on your behalf?

Make sure you take things as easy as possible Gemm xxx

flourgirl, have been thinking of you today xxx

Melissa, congratulations on the win :j

I've been sorting our house today to make it look a bit less like a toy shop. DS1 has a friend round for tea so I am using the opportunity of them entertaining themselves to pop on here and try and catch up.

    Hello all :j
No time for any card making at the minute.............busy doing scrapbook for my son............taking me ages but I like what I've done so far. Just need to work out what sort of embellishments to put on that aren;t too fussy.

Hope you're all ok and hugs to those who need them
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

don't know if any of you sell what you make and are on facebook but I've set up a new page and you're all welcome
    http://www.facebook.com/pages/handmade-by-us-for-you/108076505877781?ref=ts
the idea behind it is us 'crafters' join up and advertise what we make , you can add links , photos etc all I ask in return is you invite all your facebook friends to join us well
between us we must have so many friends and family members who need to buy cards , gifts etc throughout the year so what better than handmade and from a fellow crafter, there are allsorts of crafters on there , come and have a look , let me know what you think

Gemm - please try and take it easy, if you do too much you will end up in even more pain!! (easy to say I know and also I know how true it is :rotfl: only a few more days on your tablets? lucky you !! I am so jealous!

JHB - That is awful :( I hope you get some kind of answer!

Tiredmom - Not ignoring your PM. I need to take some pictures of the stuff and then I will reply to you. :)

Can I ask does anyone use the prima pearls? not the ones like the Eline but the ones which are shaped? like this?
    prima_PM300081.jpg

How do you stick them on? do you have to stick them on individually? or is it easier than that? I have never used them so really don't know!! .... Also does anyone have any of them lying around in the deepest darkest depths of unused stash that they want to sell to me before I take the leap and buy some from somewhere else?? I don't want to buy too many incase I don't get on with them but on the same note I would need to buy a few so it makes the postage worthwhile if that makes sense!

Hi ladies - sorry I've managed to get myself really behind again on everyone's posts. I feel really guilty when I come on and I don't comment on everyone's comments and creations, so I wait thinking that I'll get round to it and then I find that I am so far behind that its going to take hours to catch up. I've been trying to de-clutter the house (not very successfully) and Elliot hasn't been sleeping much so I've been quite busy.
So please forgive me for not commenting!
I'm glad to hear that you all had such a great time at the n.e.c - looks like you all got some great bargains!
Thanks for all your "congratulations" too - I'm really chuffed that I won the promarkers - I'm not sure what colours to get - I'll have to get my collection out later and see what I need - at the last count I think I had 75 - so there's still plenty for me to get!

Rusty - the pearls are glued together by a tiny strip of glue - so if you wanted to keep them in that pattern you can by just peeling it off the acetate. Or if you want to you can cut the gems apart and use them individually. If you wanted to make patterns with your gems you can buy templates - I think they're by bazzill - it might be an alternative if you've got loads of gems already - I'm sure quixotic sell them

Tired Mom - what fabulous photos, isn't she a little darling, she's gorgoeus!

Well hope all you ladies who were at the NEC had a fab time, it seems like it from your posts and your photos! lol

Ladies, I need some help with 150 favours that I've been asked to make for a forthcoming wedding.

Rainmac, I thought I'd try making those gorgeous little baskets that you made a while back?? I think it was you? However, my question is this:

Where would be the best place to purchase a supply of card or paper for this amount of baskets - would I be better getting a paper pack do you think, like the Papermania ones? And also, does anyone know where the cheapest place is to get scalloped punches? Her colour theme is orange, pink and cream.

Thanks again ladies, hugs to all of you who are poorly or who have poorly relatives.

    Sal

Hi Sal, I would buy 12x12 cardstock if I were you as you can get 4 baskets out of one sheet of card and just need a bit more for the handles. Creative Craft World sells Bazzill Basics cardstock for 40p a sheet so just over 10p over basket? Bazzill card isn't too thick either which makes it great to make these as you have to score it. Hope that helps and good luck with the order x
