  • Where abouts do you live? There was the Make It Show in Farnborough last month, which is supposed to be the biggest craft show in the South. There's also Stamperama at Stevenage (was the same day as Make It) and the Ally Pally in London x

Hiya - thanks for your reply, I'm close to Bristol so these would be abit far for me to go. The London one might be ok though - do you know when it is??

    Tired Mum Snipped you sorry
"To make a scout hut more princessy we used one of the scene setters with the birthday add on, you wouldn't know from the picture but Pincess Erin was thrilled."

Is the scene setters that curtain type thing round the room? And please where do you get them from and are they expensive? I've never heard of them.

The Wife wannabrich Skiergirl - Thank you The Chris Rea concert was absolutely fantastic! I have seen him before but forgotten just how good he is - I'm still buzzin' now. The Wife - have you seen one of his shows? I can thoroughly recommend if you get chance to go.

    Good Morning Ladies

I won't be around much today as I am going to my niece's OH's funeral :( the weather is cold, damp and miserable this morning, so hoping for sunshine at 1pm.

Rusty, Bunbun, Choccy and Crafty JuJu your bits are ready to post tomorrow can you let me know exactly what you wanted, cos I've forgot. I just made a huge pile last night.

Rainmac It sounds like your party and your family day out were a roaring success. I bet you are so shattered, I hope Jan didn't over do it on Friday.

Marg you sound like you really enjoyed your concert, I hope you managed to get some sleep. I bet when you got in bed and closed your eyes you were back there hearing all the songs again!!

Tired Mom what a fantastic party and goodies, your little girl is adorable :)

Rusty where did you find the strength to do gardening!!! I couldn't even get my shoes on yesterday lol

Well I better get on with the ironing then get ready, we have to be at my mums for 11.45am.

Have a good day everyone x

Marg - Yes the scene setter is the curtain type thing, they are made of similar material to the plastic childrens party tablecloths you get. They come in two pieces which measure approx 4 ft x 20 ft which means when you put one on top of the other it is 8ft high. This was the disney princess palace one but you can get loads of different ones from casinos to jungles so suitable for children and adults. You can also get loads of add on to build the scene up which is what the happy birthday with all the princesses around is. Most party supply places sell them and also there are lots on ebay. I think from party places and ebay from a shop you pay about £14 ish plus p&p for the background and then the additional princess add ons were about £2.90 ish plus p&p. I actually managed to get my back drop from a private seller and it was new, think including p&p it cost me about £12 and then I bought the add on seperately. Beacuse they are such a big piece they are quite heavy to hang so we used quite abit of white tack. I'm hoping to maybe sell the scene setter but need to inspect it further as I know we ended up with holes across the top of the top one trying to get it down. They really are very effective though and can hide allsorts of things as well as transforming a room. We hid a huge notice board with it but also realised that it went over a radiator so had to make sure we turned it off as I didn't want to melt the setter. Completely different note are you near Manchester as you came for a concert?

Flourgirl - Thinking of you and your family today, such a young loss is so tragic even if he is now at peace. Hugs.

I have to spend today trying to do husbands accounts with darling children about. Can't even chuck them out into the garden as the weather forecast is awful, I'd much rather be playing with building my blog!

Hello :hello:, I've missed you all, sorry not been here all weekend :o, been so busy and have ironing to do now so can't read back over what I've missed. I had a brilliant day on Friday with all the lovely ladies :), I've got pics to blog of the beautiful gifts I received and the fab stash I bought, will try and do that tomorrow. The weekend had been a bit of a blur of children, sweets and endless trips to the loo with girls at the cinema yesterday :rotfl:. Toboganning today was brilliiant, I loved it even more than the boys :D I'd love to do it without the kiddies to be honest :p We spent a hideous amount in the Lego shop but most of it wasn't our money so not too bad. My house looks like a toy shop with all the pressies Jack received and things that have been bought today. I guess he's only 6 once :)

Got a busy week this coming week, not sure when I will be able to get my new stash out for a play :(

Hope everyone's ok, apologies for not catching up with posts yet but I will get there over the next couple of days xxx

Glad you had a lovely time!! I am so jealous of you having a lego shop so local, if we had one here then we would have to sell the house to pay for everything!! :j If it is any consolation then I haven't played with my stash either!

Thinking of you and all of your family through this hard day. I know exactly how you feel. Sending massive hugs to you xxxxx

Please if you don't mind could I have a pink one and a blue one :) I plan to dust off the robo this week to have a better play! Thankyou so much.
I'm not sure how I did the gardening, but I am suffering again today! :j I could barely walk on saturday after the NEC and relied on OH helping me upto the loo  or into the kitchen to make a cuppa lol

Well I managed to get the invites finished last night and have been out for ivory paper for print the evening ones, I have 150 of them to trim and then it is just a waiting game for the envelopes to arrive!! I am chuffed that they will finally be out of the way!

Hopefully I will be able to have a play this afternoon, I found 3 door hangers on saturday in a box in the garage, so plan to use my new stamps and see if I can make the kids a new hanger :)

Hope everyone has a fab day :j

If anyone wants a nosey at our new garden then I have blogged it ;)

Rusty - Amazing transformation of your garden! We went & got some plants on Saturday but now got to find the energy to plant them - much harder to find!

Rainmac - glad the party & toboganning(sp?) were a success.

Tired Mum - Thank you for the info about scene setters it looked pretty impressive - if you sell yours that photo would do it. Sadly my 'princess' days are over! We live the other side of Blackpool so it's a bit of a trek to Manchester so we don't do it often but it was worth it!

    Yay! Well Done Melissa!
