My two cards are done now and are on my blog.
I have a few questions for you...
I have been reading a few of the blogs that people have on here, and see that many of you are entering daily/weekly challenges. I'm not sure how you:
1. Know where to find them
2. Link back to the challenge and how this notifies people you have entered. Do you have to leave them a comment to let them know you have entered?
Thanks in advance!0 -
Hi all,
Sorry i have been AWOL lately, i have just had loads to do!!
I have updated the you know what and my challenge card is on there too.
I have a couple of questions if anyone can help?- Does Craft Village have a website? I don't think i have one local to me
- Where can i get Stickles from? Everytime i put it in i get normal glitter glue!
- Does Popcorn Bear and Milton stamps come in digi style? I am after the one with Popcorn pulling souffle
Also th Molly Blooms Stamps, the new ones are soooo cute!
Congratulations to all the latest winners, especially Aimee!
Hope those of you that are in pain or ill feel better.
Right off to do some colouring :rotfl:xx0 -
hello peeps - guess what - ~I made a card - I should be banned rom this forum with my poor work rate. I'll take a piccy just as soon as the glossy accents has dried and try to blog it tomorrow.
Was trying a bit of distraction therapy but it' not really worked - feeling soo stressed.
Granny is poorly again - pneumonia this time and is back in hospital - we're trying to get her to face the fact that she can't really go abck to her home as she is too frail - she really needs resintial care but is refusing to even countenance it. Card is a get well card - I'll have to try and get down there to visit in the next couple of weeks
Work is beyond 5h1te at the moment - still repercussions from the 'restructure announced earlier this year. It's really quite unpleasant at the mo and I've done more than my fair share of crying in the ladies.
Finally - it's "&son's" party this week - which really isn't anything to stress about but somehow on top of everything else, it's nearly finishing me off. Mostly because I don;t know how many boys are coming - we've invited 12 and have only had 5 rsvp's. Is it me or is that just really rude?
Anyhoo - better get on - I have loads to do for the winter fair at school. I'd said about making snowman soup / coaster calendars etc and said as an aside that maybe I could do the prep and parents could help out whilst they waited for the kids at the forthcoming film night. Somehow this is now being marketed as a 'craft activity' for parents. Really hope they're not expecting too much instruction - I have no idea what I am doing myself!
hugs to those who need to them (and to the rest of you). Keep up the goofd work - I do always read the thread just rarely get chance to post.0 -

What's that saying about best laid plans and all that! Well my planned day of catching up on blogs flew out the window. A parcel we were expecting came this morning (City Link - what happened, you normall don't get to our town before 3pm and you were here at 11 am!!!!!) so we had our first day out shopping since we had the puppy. 1.5 hours driving later, mopping up puppy sick and walking her round the car park while OH went into Tesco, then swapping over as I needed the loo :rotfl: . I could have sold her half a dozen times over with people cooing over her. She's a bit aloof with new people, prefers people she knows or dogs. Only went to Tesco and Home Bargains - nothing crafty in there for me, ended up with toilet rolls - how exciting!
Last stop was Pets at Home - only fair really as she'd been so good and it's about the only shop you can take your dog in. Bought some doggie choc drops and one of those extending leads so she can have a wander when we have a walk through the woods.
Got back and sorted about 5.30 so it was chips for tea tonight and I was well and truly cream crackered. I'll try and catch up tomorrow.
Flying Fresian You can find a list of challenges at Pile It On and Feline Playful updates daily, scroll down a bit.
My brain is too scrambled to try and explain how to do the linking to the challenges, I'm sure someone else will tell you, if not I'll try tomorrow.
Rusty Sorry for your pain, hope you're feeling better soon.
Off for an early night, will try again tomorrow. 'Night all.0 -
DTB - sorry lifes carp atm. Hope you sort things out with work and granny. I have to agree with you re the lack of responses to party invites - it's just plain rude. I had a similar thing and it makes things really difficult especially when places need to know numbers.0

I always find it so annoying you try to organise a party you would think they could be polite enough to reply.(((hugs))) hun sounds like you need them.
I have made some more cards and have done a card with cows on for the challenge. They are on my blog.
I ended up going back to hobbycraft got a few more things and have been looking on madabout cards so think I will order some things from there:D:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -
Hogshead - I've had another look @ Paint and PP papers - you can change the colours if you open the paper in Paint and go up to colours then edit colours, choose the colour nearest to the one you want, then click define colour and a pop up appears and you can lighten it using the slider at the rt hand side or completely change it using the display then use the paint tin to paint where you want.
DTB - sorry you are having a tough time - the none replying parents are rude and although it takes your valuable time I think it reasonable to phone them & ask if their child will be attending. Wonder if some haven't seen the invites? Are the Social Services where your granny lives prepared to put in lots of support to help her if she insists on going home? Is it viable? We have probs with DH's Mum so I do know how these old ladies can be and sympathise though that's not a lot of help to you.
Wanna B Rich - 3:30am!! If I'm awake then it's 'cos I can't get to sleep - not because I've been out having fun:rotfl: Sadly, we lost to Padster's much better team 4 - 0 but it was good to share watching with my Brother & SIL. Thank you for nice comments about my card.
Toms Mum - I hope Poppy gets better @ travelling with practise - I bet you could have named your own price too she is sooo cute:) -Blogs, like housework, will still be there tomorrow. Hope you've had a good night's rest.0
