Nobody on this thread can go past a craft village without popping in for a look and rarely leaves without buying ;)

Gemm, I can't watch horrors, I am a scaredy cat :(. I love a good thriller but horrors are a no no for me

Well done to the OSAAT winners!!!

Good morning all. I'm horribly behind now with the thread and blogs, will try and catch up on blog hopping today.

Well done to all the winners :T.

Welcome newbies - I've lost track there too, but I have just become a follower of a couple of new blogs so hopefully I've not missed anyone out.

Scatty Hope you're getting things sorted in your new house and I hope you're very happy there.

Can I ask how you all decided on what to use on a card ie. do you lay everything out, draw it out etc. I have spent hours just laying papers on to cards trying to match colours. Then of course I find I don't have the right colours of Promarkers to colour in my Magnolias to match the papers, need snowflakes, glitter glue and sentiments just to make my Christmas cards:eek:

I have also found all my receipts......do I add them up or just throw away?:rotfl:

I sit and look at them for two hours :D then I still probably haven't made up my mind :rotfl: .

I have my image, decide which papers are right for it and then try to colour the image to complement the paper. I'm afraid there's only one answer if you haven't got the right colour Promarker - buy some more :D. Not that I'm trying to encourage you or anything! I did find this a problem so as I don't have any sins (cough!) or much of a social life to spend my money on (get the violins out!) I did treat myself to a few more PMs!

As for the receipts, put them away in case you need to take something back that doesn't work properly but DON'T ADD THEM UP!!! And certainly don't let your OH see them!

I do have a Clint Eastwood card to make for a friends husband ,so I've been downloading some pics for the front of the card already.
    |Is it ok to print out images and put on a card ? Hope so ,or I,m in a fix ,cos he's a great Eastwood fan .

I think it's OK for personal use, as in you make one for your friend and give it to him. There might be copyright issues if you wanted to sell them.

I remember a few years ago I made a card for my then 3 year old GD which was from a downloaded picture of Disney princesses and the castle. I wasn't sure if I could put it in the gallery of a forum I used to visit at the time so I emailed the person who ran the forum and he said because of copyright issues - and Disney are VERY hot on this - he asked me not to submit it as if it was discovered we would both be in hot water! There was no problem with me giving it to my GD, but I wouldn't have risked making a public show of it or selling one.

Have a hug if you need one, have one anyway if you don't! Have a great day everyone.

  • Morning lovely ladies, I have just caught up on 7 pages!! gee you lot can babble!!

Congratulations to all of the winners, even the little ones (Aimee ;))

ScattyJan - nice to see you back, glad the move went well :)

Can't remember much that I have read, I am in agony with my mouth!! after having 2 teeth out right at back of my mouth I have had barely any pain, which is suprising, but then saturday another abcess decided to rear its ugly head right next to where the teeth were  so I am in agony

Thankyou for all of Thomas's birthday wishes, he had a fab birthday and we were out all weekend celebrating! :j we went to Wet n Wild, and it was fantastic!! Maddison has only ever been swimming 4 times, the first being when she was 4 months old ... but the last 3 times OH has been teaching her to swim (bear in mind she is 3 years old) and she suprised both OH and myself by swimming from Daddy to me, in the deeper waters without Daddy holding a hand under her tummy!! no hands!! I was so proud of her :) Then on sunday we took the children bowling, Thomas won!!! and it wasn't fixed either :rotfl:

Hope everyone has had a good weekend, I am trying to catch up on blogs, and housework!!

Gemm I don't normally bother about these films cos I love them too - it was the bit where she was standing at the side of the bed for hours watching him sleep that freaked me out. I kept thinking what I would do if I woke up and found OH standing like that at the bottom of our bed.

Irlrip I lay mine out on photoshop so I can mess about with them till they look they way I want them to, if I can't do that I tend to spend hours mucking about and giving up. :)

Rusty Sending you mahoosive hugs, I hope your mouth gets better soon. Nightmare! And way to go Maddison!!

Catch you all later, better get back to work :)

TomsMum - I'm pleased you're here and you sound a little happier hope you feel it. Thank you for commenting on the copyright issue - I debated, even with my scanned napkin but went for it as a 'one off' personal use & it wasn't Disney.

Irlrip - I often have an idea in mind, sit for an hour or two trawling through my (non matching) papers for some that might go together, then spend some time fretting about it, think about giving up but can't 'cos it'd be a waste - come back, completely change tack - & end up with something vaguely passable. So sorry, that's not much help to you is it? Seriously, I do try to lay it out before I start sticking it helps.

Rusty - you are having a tough time with your teeth:( - can you ask your dentist for a referral to dental hospital? Sounds like you may be run down or lacking some vitimins - might be worth asking.

Huge well done to little Missy on her swimming - I think it's really important that they learn young before they develop a fear. (like I did)
  • Sorry to hear you're in pain again Rusty.

About the film, I'm not listening!!!!! la la la la. I hate spooky/ thiller / murder films - I'm a slushy/ soppy/ or Disney girl. :rotfl:

Irlip - my tip re the Promarkers is - colour your image however you like, and then mount it on white card which has been coloured to match with the fat end of your Promarker. You might never have to buy plain coloured card again, only patterned iyswim.

Well done all winners and an extra special well done to Aimee on her winning card and Rustys' little one for her swimming. What a clever lot of girls (and boys) we have here. They must all get it off their Mum's! :D
