  • craft fairies those clips are really pretty - I'm sure they will sell well.

They had a demo day at my local garden centre today. Only able to catch an hour of it, a lovely guy from Creative Expressions. He did some lovely grungy demos. Not my usual style but would be fun to try some of them. I found out they run a craft club too so I'm going to join in a week on Tuesday - should be fun.

I've put some of my latest cards on my blog. They are iris folding from a kit I bought. I don't think they looked finished, but not sure what else to do.
  • oh had not thought of those type of clips!!
i wear a few of my home made flower clips and have them on the long metal grips as i don't like the clip to be noticable (although i have purple hair at the moment so anything is noticable!!) so i just carried on regardless!!
Will have to get some and give it a go!
I hae also got some plain hairbands that i want to tart up too!
  • Karencooke - that quilled chess set is truely amazing, left me with my mouth open in awe!

Karen - they are wonderful but I see what you mean. Could you add some little pearls or gems to the corners? It would just break the white up a bit, or add a sentiment. Have you any sentiments toppers yet? I have loads, I could send you some to start you off, if you pm me your address.

Had a really busy week, what with work, and having 6 orders for my name cards :D so I have been busy crafting, but not had a chance to pop onto here.

Hope everyone is OK. I’ve read back a couple of pages and this is what I remember:

Welcome to the thread Flying Frisian, you will soon be addicted like the rest of us!

The Wife – hope all went well for you at the hospital today.

Scatty – hope the move went well yesterday, and you have managed to unpack your crafty box first!

PONR – glad you are still having a fab time in the States, the cutlery holder is fab, and I too love hearing about your bargains.

Soma – I love stickles and now glossy accents – I have four different stickles - gold; icicle; lavender and pink and have to say that the lavender one is my fav.

Choccy – I see we are swap partners on CP – I’ll get my card to you in the post sometime early next week.

CraftyFairy – love the snowflake hair grips.

Welcome back Bunbun – I love the card you have made for your son’s birthday. Hope you manage to shift your migraine quickly. How is you son getting on at high school?

Karen – love the iris folding, did you find it easy today. I’ve got a book here but it always looks so complicated to do that I have been put off doing it, but you cards are lovely. Maybe you could add some sort of sentiment on 3d pads to the front of the card if you think there is too much white.

Flourgirl – I love your notelet holders – are you just making them from square card blanks, with an extra triangle of white card inside to hold the notelets?

I'm running out of card, so am going down to Portsmouth tommorow to the PaperMill shop to stock up. My OH is having the boys, so I can spend hours wondering about the shop :D, without be hassled. Shame it is a 140 mile round trip though.

I've just b**g a new card if you fancy a nosy.

I'll try to keep up with the thread better next week, an will now go and check out all your fab makes.
