Thanks for the kind wishes peeps.
I've had a long soak in a hot bubble bath and a couple of glasses of wine, and feel much more relaxed now. Less than 2 weeks until the NEC - I'll try to keep that as my 'happy thought'.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -

Hello everybody
Hope everyone had a lovely day, whatever you did..
I went to a papercraft show yesterday in Leigh, lancashire. It was really busy and a lovely atmosphere. I saw a couple of guest presenters from Create and craft. It would have been a very, very small introduction to the Nec if I were going. I have never been to a craft show before and I definitely intend to visit some more, but I would defo have to save before going to another one, everything is so tempting...
I think I would also have to invest in a shopping trolley.. myself and my two friends had to go to the car twice to offload the stash...
Rusty many congrats on your win.
Rainmac Soz you didn't win the quiz, but hey ho, you may do next time??
Tiny Lovely baby boy card.

Evening all. Hope you've all had a fab Mother's Day.
I've finally blogged all my Mother's Day makes.
Tomsmum - don't feel guilty about things, there would be nothing worse than your DH getting MRSA (DS had it when he was 2 and it was a complete nightmare and I wouldn't wish it upon a healthy person, let alone someone who is poorly).
Tinypablo - lovely card
Glittermum - glad you enjoyed Mama Mia
Thrifty - thanks for the links, hope your DD is feeling better.x
Rusty - cards are gorgeous
sammr85 - sorry to hear you've not been well
JHB - hope your ok, take things easy for the next couple of days
TheWife - sounds like you had a fab day, please let me know how you get on with the cut and dry foam. I looked at it the other day (well picked it up and then put it down again).
Charlie23 - I went to the one in Brighton in Feb. I enjoyed it, but have to say there weren't many bargains with regards to Sizzix/Cuttlebugs or the dies and embossing folders. I think one of the best prices around atm is the Craft Superstore (seem to remember someone posting a cheaper link for the CB - but can't find it). To be completely honest most of the stuff could be bought cheaper online, but I did get Promarkers and Whispers Pens at a good price.
cgcockcroft - lovely cards on your blog, I really like the Spidey one0 -
Dawn The cards, necklaces and boxes are loverly, I bet your mum and cousin were made up.
Thrifty and Sally After reading your posts I have been racking my brains for any more suggestions of who else you should contact apart from those already mentioned and I can't think of any body, I am sorry.
I think the situation you are both in is appalling and it is really, really frustrating for you and your son's. :wall:
If I can think of anybody else to suggest, I will post it on here. All I can say is look after yourselves. I know it can be draining I have been there myself, do not worry about posting on here, we will support you in any way we can.. :grouphug:Self imposed crafty stash ban: started again 22/8/10 1 whole month stash free!

Hope everyone has had a lovely Mother's Day.
JHB - sorry to hear of your accident, so glad that you are OK.
Well I didn't get my day shopping. It was my decision not to go. We got up early but I just thought that it's an hour and a half drive to get there, I wasn't after anything in particular - just a moochy as we've not been "proper" shopping since last October before OH went into hospital, OH said he was happy to come (he's like that, aims to please!) but I realised it was just a waste really and he might have got really tired but wouldn't say so! So I did a bit more gardening, we had another lovely sunny day.
I also made a card to send to my friend for Easter. I was obviously not concentrating and didn't check to see I was putting everything on the right way. Put a mat and some ribbon on, my image and flowers then opened my card to realise I'd put it all the wrong way - I'd turned it 180 degrees so what should have been the opening edge was the crease :rotfl: . Stupid or what! I usually am so careful to check that I've got the card the right way round. So I've cut the front of the card off and will have to layer it onto another card blank.
We might go to Llandudno on Wednesday instead, there's a nice big craft shop there and if OH is too tired to walk round any shops there's a lovely prom to sit if it's a nice day. We could get sarnies and custard tarts from M & S, mmmmmmm!
I'm off on a blog hop now.0
