Hi Everyone,
Only one full day left and then I can chill and hopefully things won't be so manic around here,

Rusty hope your dd is ok, head bumps are a nightmare,
Lei well done on your promotion,

WBR hope everything goes well at the hospital,
And a huge wave and hello to everyone else, I think I need to join you on a stash diet, but there are so many lovely things to buy
take care Jo xTake care Jo x0 -
Oh I def need a stash diet - I went to the range for the first yesterday - OMG I loved it and its so close I never realised:rotfl:0

Rusty I hope by now there is some improvement in Lil Miss Em but please take her to A & E if you're worried.
Can somebody think of a banner to put at the bottom of our posts for our self imposed stash ban?
craftygranny, you will let us know if you needs cards and stuff made for Carly's ear centre. I'd love to help out. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
Thank you ladies for all your condolences, I think its hit the OH today as he's been very snappy. We still haven't told the kids yet - I'm not sure how to explain it, this is the first time that anyone's died that they know.
Glittermum - your stall looks fantastic, no wonder you were so successful and took loads of orders - those sock monkeys look fantastic!
Rusty - you have been busy!!! Your cards are lovely - I'm really impressed with your pearls - they're perfect - I don't think mine would be! Love your seed packet too - that image is fab and that pink ink is gorgeous. I hope Maddison is okay now poor little thing.
Dragonllew - I hope your OH is okay now - I bet you had a right fright.0 -

The-Wife I quickly chucked this one in?Self imposed crafty stash ban: started 15/-7/10 1 whole month stash free!
I must not buy stash, I must not buy stash, I must not buy stash!
Any good? .... I might even join in with you all... a whole month without any stasj  good job I have lots of unused things :rotfl:
Melissa, I have always been straight with both of my kids, we regularly talk about both my grannybasher and also my grandad, infact today Maddison was asking questions and I told her that both were the brightest stars in the sky and were twinkling away and watching them both, she ran to the back door to look for the stars, even when she knew it was still daylight. I told her they were up there together and playing games. DS has always been told that they are the bright stars in the sky, even he looks up to the sky when it is dark. DD every other day when she gets out of the bath talks about my Gran, she laughs cause her hands are all wrinkly and comments that she has grannybashers hands :rotfl: first few weeks I cried cause it was tough, but now I see it as a blessing and a lovely memory which we will share together!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Rusty - thanks so much for the advice, your kids sound lovely - such sweethearts!!!! Its difficult because whilst my kids knew kim they didn't see him that often, plus its my m-i-l's Dad and she's really upset obviously - I just want to explain to them why Nanny is so sad, my oldest is really close to his Nan so I know he's likely to get upset when he sees that she's so sad.0

Evening.
Had a busy couple of days since getting back from holiday. I've made a card for my niece which I can't blog until the weekend in case she sees it!! I've also made 8 bag charms and 8 little boxes for them for her birthday party tonight for her to give to her friends and a little cupcake box for to hold a bracelet that I made for her.
I also changed a charm bracelet into a necklace as someone had asked if I did a necklace like the bracelet!! I've blogged the necklace and I am pleased with how it looks!
WBR - glad you got on ok at the hospital. Good luck with your operation.
Craftygranny - thanks for the blog list, need to go through it to see who I am missing now!!!
Gemm - hope it goes well tomorrow in work for you and you get what you want!
I resisted the urge to buy from acard4u as when I worked the cost with the hefty postage it wasn't really worth it for me. I guess if you ordered lots of things then it would great.
I got the Cardmaking mag today - love the free 'My Minds Eye' paper, they are very pretty.
Madfrog - glad your parcel didn't cost you too much extra. I order things from China quite often and they always mark it as a gift but the amounts are very low anyhow.
melissa75 - sorry to hear about your OH's grandad, poor fella, at least he is no longer suffering, hope he is in a better place now. Big hugs to you all x
Rusty - hope Maddison is ok, that ear is gonna hurt like hell.
dragonllew - hope your OH is ok. What a shock to look across and see him passed out. What luck he wasn't driving.
Hope everyone is ok - hi and hugs to anyone I've missed! The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
I have finished sorting for the night.. really de cluttered, but still LOADS to do... but I will feel soo much better after I have finished..
Sorted stuff into 3 piles.. recycling at tip, rubbish for tip and car boot.. DH said he would make the back bedroom into a craft room for me once it has been emptied and sorted.. there's incentive!! Still lots to do in the conservatory tho..
Dragonllew what a worry for you, I bet you got a fright, hope OH is ok..
Padster Hope you feel better soon...
Craftygranny Yep, as Wife said, let us know if you want anything.. Brill news that the bakery lady wants a portfolio etc..
Skiergirl You can join us stash ban ladies, no prob...
Wifey A banner would be a brill idea, I am rubbish at composing things like that tho.. and I would have to be talked thru as to how to put it at the bottom of my posts, but it would be fun..Self imposed crafty stash ban: started again 22/8/10 1 whole month stash free!

I think just try and be straight with them, otherwise you will make it harder as time goes on and you unfortunately lose more loved ones! I have to admit I was one of these who always felt sad for others, as it would never happen to me, then when my Grandad died it hit me hard, but to lose my Gran less than a year later and wow that hit me even harder! I regularly get upset about them but life has to go on, just try and explain as best you can, and possibly try and do it sooner than later. The children will pick up on your OH's emotions and sense something is wrong. DS never cried over my Gdad, nor did he cry through grans funeral, until we came out and he just broke down, but tried to walk away from everyone, I have never ever seen him so upset! Just reassure them that it is ok to feel sad and cry if they need to! It is such a hard thing to do, but something that needs to be done as a mum sending you big hugs xxxpointofnoreturn wrote: »Evening.

Managed to get a bargain in Ikea, the units were supposed to be £59 each, but had been in the sale at £46 .... but when I went in they gave me the 2 units, plus all of the shelves inside (£6 for 2 and there was 6 shelves) for £30 each, so £60 for both unitsI am chuffed, but didnt enjoy driving home down the motorway with them on the roof lol/
Oooh and before I forget, ikea have white mugs for 99p BUNBUN forgot to take my phone with me or I would have picked you some up!!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
