Well I managed to get one sympathy card done yesterday - I've never made one before, I'm quite happy with it - I just used lots of flowers, I just wanted OH's Nan to know that we were thinking about her.

Lizalloareds - gorgeous nappy cakes - I think my favourite one is the pink one - so pretty!!!!

Pointofnoreturn - your creations are fabulous - those boxes look great - were they hard to make?? And those charms are fab!!!

Rusty - thanks again for the help - I think I'll sit them down when they come back from school and explain it all to them. They normally stay at their Nan's house on a Friday - I'm not sure whether she'll want them there today or whether she will to help her take her mind off it all. I'm glad to hear that Maddison is better.

Artydoll - great cards - you really put me to shame with how many you've made - I spend hours over one card - sometimes days!!!

Craftygranny - thanks for the advice too - I think that's how I'll explain it - that his body stopped working properly. Hope Alicia feels better soon.

Soma - your card is fab - love the colours and those papers look lovely - I'm sure I've got that pad somewhere but have never used the papers.

Just on my lunch at work now, I have been accepted for redundancy :j but they aren't sure when I can leave yet. my official letter states the 29th October but I will be requesting if that can be brought forward. It's in my best interests to try and stay until at least the 3rd September really (as then I will have worked here for 3 years) so I will get an extra years redundancy pay, for the sake of another few weeks it makes sense really. I am obviously pleased with the decision but its still all a bit stressful TBH. there are also people being made redundant who need to stay, so the atmosphere is a bit carp. I have got monday and friday booked as holiday next week so that will make next week go a bit quicker at least!

Gemm I'm really pleased for you and hope you get what you want in terms of redundancy pay. Try not to be stressed about anyone else and just look after yourself, you dont want to make yourself ill again. Do something nice on Monday and Friday to take your mind off things. Take special care xx

Soma I asked my DH for some money for the craft show and he just said... well spend what you have to and I will give it you back when you get home, cos lets face it if I give you a fiver you will only spend it all!!!!:rotfl:

Marg I seem to be having a really carp week computer wise, DH bought me a new laptop on Tuesday, put all my stuff on there, I re-downloaded all my Silhouette stuff (you get 3 chances) and the bl**dy thing has developed a fault!! grrrrr. So everything has had to be wiped and its going back, they will give him a refund to his credit card in about 10 days. We bought it from ASDA, they have been really good about it but its soooo anoying. I could kick myself for sitting and downloading 120 new files:mad: I'm also thinking about sticking with the desktop, at least its XP not windows 7

Sorry to snip you Addams. Is that the Epson SX515W we were talking about the other day? I haven't done anything about buying one yet but would be interested to know what you think. I've more or less made my mind up it's the one I want.

I've got the Nellie Snellen multiframe dies, circle, oval and rectangle. The rectangle is a pig to cut the bigger one. I do use the large circle, I think it's nice, and the small one looks a bit like a sunflower and looks nice. I haven't managed to use the oval one yet, really must give it a try. I do find that they don't cut as easily as the Nesties though. They need to go through the Cuttlebug two or three times and need turning round before they cut through properly. I wish I hadn't bought the rectangle one.

So glad you got the news you wanted Gemm. Shame you have to wait a few weeks but I hope you can stick it out, would be better for your redundancy package.

Did you all have the horrendous winds we had last night? Played havoc with my tomato plants, the big ones and the cherry tomato ones, have lost loads of branches with trusses on :(. Broke branches of lots of other stuff too.

My order of PMs have arrived today, will be able to play now OH has finished painting the window sills in the loft and my desk is back where it should be :T.

Rusty Good to hear little miss is fine now.

Cgcockroft Have a great weekend and enjoy your birthday. My card should arrive today or tomorrow.

rainmac Can I be nosey - what book were you reading? I'm always on the look out for new stuff to read.

    emzy81 - Following your blog now :T

Rusty how's your comp coming on - you got it working yet? Don't they just drive you up the wall when they don't work properly! Fingers crossed for OH and his bike test (me jealous not :D).

How's Missy doing today? Very scary HUGS

On the subject of KlingOn my work sells it - Can I be nosey and ask what you paid for it? (I'm thinking I could get it cheap but don't have a clue about pack sizes etc?) I could check though...

Hassy I remember reading on someones blog that they had loads of stash that they never used so they lined it all up on a shelf and took them down one at time and used them for a card and if they didn't like them they ebayed them with the handmade card. (OOH a proper MSE suggestion :money:)

Craftygranny - can you add my blog to the list - I don't think it was there

Dragonllew Hope your OH is doing better today - it must have been scary for you HUGS

WBR thanks for the link - they are fab - pity I'm not allowed to buy anything at the moment :(

Gemm Congratulations on your redundancy - so happy for you

TomsMom - go for it the SF515W is great.

Bizarre question - I know some of you do your food shopping online - how do you find it? I'm quite a fussy b****r when it comes to picking meat and that's what's put me off up until now but I feel like being lazy and I absolutely hate food shopping - life is too short to trawl round Mr Ts fighting with OH and a trolley!
