Sarah-tea, I'm so very sorry to here your news. I hope the job hunting goes better soon too.
Well, we're back, and I still really like it. goal posts changed a bit though....so we have to go back to our bank and see what they say. Totally different thing to the other place we are looking at, but while we love the land, and registered an interest I think we'll offer, banks approval assumed, on this one.0 -
OOh Lost, fingers crossed for you.0

Oh good luck LiR - I hope it works out the way you want.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

. It just doesn't seem right living off my boyfriend plus I want to buy what I want without any questions! x
Aw hun, that's tough. I know times are hard and there aren't as many jobs to go around but that's quite shocking. Have you had someone go through your CV and check that there's nothing that might put potential employers off? Do you write a new cover note for each job and specify how your skills match the job spec, giving evidence of where you have done a similar thing well previously?
Do you know why you're not having much luck?0 -

I want it every way! I can't help but win really.
Its just I fall in love with almost every property. I know with this one, whatever happens, we cannot afford what we want (it s for sale in ''lots'' and I want it all!) but its a lovely, lovely opportunity. Enough to keep me busy for a very long time! 0 -
Yeah had my CV checked by many people, I write an individual cover letter for each employer! I just think it's a hard area really, like many people say there really aren't many jobs around and someone who has a degree will be more employable I guess. My CV looks great without sounding big headed. I've had a stable solid job and done heaps of charity work I guess the perfect job will be here sooner or later

Well it sounds like you are doing all the right things. I know Queenie picked up a cleaning job pretty sharpish, maybe look at some temping of that sort via an agency to tide you over until something more desirable comes along, then you can show your boyfriend (who sounds wonderful BTW) how much it means to you to contribute.
Sending you good luck vibes. xxx0 -
When we view houses we always dressed young and in slightly cheap looking clothes, were very sweet and polite and did the young couple in love thing. It always added a little more weight when putting in a lower offer if they think you're starting out and are struggling to get the mortgage.
I'm not saying you should do that Lost but if you go in looking like you're too wealthy the might hold out for full asking price.
ETA, I hope that doesn't sound devious, just the whole process of buying and selling is full of games and don't even get me started on Estate Agents...
hi there! xx
yeah we did that and got the house, difference being was the cheap looking clothes were our clothes!:rotfl:They had a higher offer but said we were getting it as we were so nice!:oYou may walk and you may run
You leave your footprints all around the sun
And every time the storm and the soul wars come
You just keep on walking0
