tea. job hunting sucks. DH doing his law conversion sen literally hundreds of applications. we worked out a timetable based on ten apps a day, each requiring a letter and cv and/or application form.
It was truly draining, and when he decided the firm he eventually got a contract was not for him I had to lock myself where he couldn't see me and cry with fear! The whole thing started again....luckily much more quickly resolved.
All you can do is keep plugging away and get something less ideal in the mean time. Doing what you don't want to do gives you impetus to get the job you want and the structure in your day you need0 -
so many wise words floating around here tonight

It took me a long time to get the job I have now, I have no degree and lots of little bits of experience in lots of different jobs! I never knew what I wanted to be and have ended up quite a competent secretary - not necessarily what I would choose now if I could go back and train all over again but hey ho! - my point is that I just kept going, sending off letters and applications, covering notes and making phone calls. In the end I got the job I'd least expected to get.
Its horrible job hunting, majorly depressing but the key is just to keep going. As already suggested, you can try the temp agencies, although I didn't have much luck there, they seemed to want people with lots of qualifications which I don't have.
Good luck, I hope you get your perfect job soon x“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

I agree. Moved back to Scotland from London a few years ago without a job to go to. Thought it would be dead easy to get a job, but I ended up working in Victoria Wine for a few months - which was so different from what I'd been doing before which was working for a fashion accessories company in London and travelling to Paris, Milan, New York etc.
It's really hard to get out of bed sometimes in the morning, but you have to just get going and believe that the right job for you is out there - because it is and you will find it.

got any nice plans for today?
My parents are going shopping to an outlet place that has a CCO (cosmetic company outlet) and I am jealous. There is no way I can walk around though; and they wont let me
I'm having a quiet morning and a friend is taking me for coffee later (after seeing no-one for weeks on end haha)
It's nice to know I'll have company, but I wish I could do more.
Hopefully I'll be a bit more chatty today, haven't felt too great the past couple of days to decided to stay quiet

Good morning everyone!
Its so cold! I've put one of my winter horsing tracksuits on!
My dad's first week of retirement this week and he has an operation next week, so we're trying to sort through his stuff. Also he and I are considering asking a neighbour if they want to sell us a damaged trailer they have to use as a base to build into a mobile chicken house!0
