Redsquirrel - what a bummer about your holiday

Vicki - they're both lovely but I must admit to thinking that you might suit a sleeveless/strappy one better...
Outfit is:
Blue top with yellow floral print and broderie anglaise straps and hem - George
Blue leggings - New Look
Yellow short sleeved cardi - Primark
Floral pumps with bow & cameo detail - Schuh
Big silver ring - DP
Blue flower studs - Accessorize
I feel lovely and springlike today

Did I say that I bought both of those pairs of shoes I linked to yesterday? I have no restraint

haha alex, don't talk to me about restraint..
tescos yday i came went in with the intention of buying only basic food..
i came out with a top, a small bucket barbeque, and a pack of blank cards with polka dot envelopes, on top of my basic food :S0 -
RedSquirrel - Sorry about your flight. Are you able to reschedule?
Alex, what are you like!! I really don't want a strappy one as my upper arms are not as toned as I'd like. Also being a bit pear shaped I'd prefer a bit of puffy sleeves going on to balance out my upper body, but I am concerned that masses of fabric might make me look a bit bigger. I'm going to see how I feel this afternoon and take a wander round the shops hopefully to try some styles on and see what suits me. Will take my camera to take some sneaky photos if I do!0 -
Another option is to make one, I have about 50 vintage dress patterns that a lovely elderly freecycler gave me. She invited me in to see her photos of the ones that she made, many years ago and she looked so glamerous. So it's there in the back of my mind that I should really try some out soon.0

We got a refund on the flights and will no doubt go again at some point - starting my new job next month so it might be a while - sigh!
On the plus side I didn't spend my holiday money and am really tempted to go and have a Primark spree with some of it

now THAT is a fab idea vicki, i really want a maxi dress pattern next time i go shopping for sewing supplies..
got a little way thru my mending / altering pile last night, but have several dresses i picked up in sales etc which need new zips etc, and a couple of charity shop bargains i want to alter so they actually fit..so could do with stocking up soon...
if i made my own maxi, i'd at least be able to make syre it fits on the lenght, as i've seen some lovely ones recently, which would just mean i fell over the hem as they are so long on me..
ETA - this is my current high street fave, although it's so long it would need serious altering:

Are you in your PJs?
Lost no I'll not worry about a hat but I like the sound of a headscarf or maybe a big flower. Just remembered I have £16 Arcadia vouchers too so if I can put them towards it then even better! So I'll check out Topshop, Miss Selfridge, Walli, DP first.
Morning girls!
Vicki I had to reply to you before I do anything else lol Ive just got an elastic type hairband thing with a huge flower attached to it from (yes my second home) Ebay cost 2.50 inclusive of postage....I love it but its a bit too big to wear as a headband during the day but would be fab for a night out (plus as its elastic I can wear it as a band for a ponytail) do you want me to pm you the link to the seller? I got peach coloured but they had blue, white, black, red and a couple of others I cant remember now lol**"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin."**0
