    Ouch Char!

That is the downside to this time of year, blister/shoe injury central!

    Morning Everyone,

Mariel - Glad she is getting out there somehow. Fingers crossed for a good resort.
Bronnie - You'll have a fab time. I've been to Lindos a few times and actually got married there.
Char - Hate when shoes do that.

Thanks for all your lovely comments yesterday about my outfit. And yay for finding my blog vicki, thanks for following!

Off to work now. Have a good day everyone.

Well, decided against staying in PJs as I feel lazy enough as it is :o
Not feeling dresses/skirts today so stuck on some very much too big jeans, and a top I've not worn before...the jeans kinda look cool all slouchy :o

Dark denim wide legs jeans: New Look tall...were once high waisted :(
    Pink vest top: M&S
Green, orange and pink sheer floral blouse with pretty buttons: New Look via friend. I really love this I've decided.
Moccasins on my feet: battered and ugly from H&M but I love 'em!

Now gotta wait for mister value-er man. No makeup on yet, will do that later. I'm graciously being "allowed" a short walk this afternoon so will have to put at least foundation and mascara on :p

Mariel and Bronnie, We're going to Turkey, it's a smaller resort near Marmaris, hotel right on the beach with a small children's play area and children's play pool with slides and things. Dylan is going to love it. My parents are coming too (actually they've paid for it which is so lovely of them). And we go 14th May I think.
I have an appointment at the doctors today at 11:50. I really shouldn't have put it off so long, I'll let you know how it goes.

Budget wise DH said it doesn't matter but I'd feel bad spending more than £50 on a dress, and less would be a bonus. Are gladiators or flip flops OK with a mexi for a wedding. I think flats or wedges are going to be my only options footwear wise as I'll be chasing after Dylan I imagine!

I've got a few short cardis that I could use as a cover up so I might not have to buy new there.

I'm going to book in with a trainee for a free but proper haircut too, another thing I've been putting off!

Vicki, I'd go for wedges with a maxi, if you'll be comfortable in them all day. The added height will (if your anything like me) make you feel more confident.
If not, gladiators and maxis are always a winner :)

I know exatly the feeling of going out to buy stuff and not finding it. I'm toying with a pop out to see is I can find a summer dress....but not sure there will be anything to look for and put off bothering(hate clothes shopping for my podge anyway). But I might.

    I had a terrible night.

we hav glass front doors, and meany-dog sleeps in the hallway. I took the curtains down to clean them and meany dog was excited by every gust of wind or swoop of bat, which meant I had to keep going and letting her out. dog-dog, seeping on my bed, stole the duvet, and one of my cats was uncharateristically nauhty (min ar generally pretty good about settling down at night) and kept bringing me teddies to try and get me to play with her. Finally she accepted a cuddley sleep instead.

Still, I've woken up with bags of energy again and have knocked a couple of my biggest tasks for the day off the list. I had a Daisy length of sleep, the indoor critters finally letting me sleep a about half two and the chickens letting me sleep in till 5;50am.

shopping or no shopping? I just can't decide....

Thanks DB, are you feeling any better today?
I'd prefer wedges to be honest. DH's family are all giants so the extra height wouldn't be a bad thing. Would make my legs look longer under the dress too!
I didn't know if it was wrong to wear wedges with a maxi though? I suppose as long as the skirt is long enough, which on me it will be lol!.

Lost- shopping! So I can live vicariously through you :)

Vicki- I do feel a bit better thanks, just tired haha. Wedges and maxis are a good look, no fear there!

I should probably think about starting the second part of my course,
or maybe plan to do that next week, with a timetable, which'll give me still plenty of time to get it done even before hospital.

i think any of your options would be fine.

I sometimes wear wedges with maxis. It feels to me very poolside glamour...I don't mean beachwear I mean cool poolside party.

If you wear a maxi then I wouldn't wear a fascinator or hat. If you wanted hair down a wide band/scarf would look quite cool, if you felt ''headwear'' to be essential...but it doesn't sound like your in laws will be too bothered by conventions. :)
