    Hi all,

    Glad work was OK Daisy.

It is quiet in here today Retro, but at least it's given me a chance to catch up.

I hope everyone is feeling a lot better today.

Vicki, your OH sounds so lovely and like you say you're in a happy place, so count your blessings and only look on the bright side :)

Good luck with the shoes Bronnie.

I did that with my harem trousers from Zara, I automatically size up in that shop for some reason :o:p

it's because mostly they're so tiny sizing-- but the tiniest thing on me is my waist so i should learn since they actually are supposed to be waist fitting!!

Hello! arrived back off hols yesterday but didn't have time to pop in as I have horrible man flu and had to go to bed really early as I had to take the oldest offspring to Manchester airport as she's on her training week in Majorca.
Quick outfit post before I have a nap - I've been up since 1am!

Pale denim 70s style huge flare jeans
    black v-neck jumper
green and grey cardi-coat I made myself
the most boring black boots on the planet that were probably designed for someone a lot older than me BUT they are made out of the softest butteriest leather ever and the insole is all squidgy and they are lined in that furry fleecy stuff that is so very soft you almost feel it mmm..

    Aaarrggghhh!

Am having one of those moments! When I tried on my lovely Oasis shoes in the shop I used those very fine pop socks they supply. No I am a touch over a size 39, but 40 is a bit too big. Anyway foot slipped in nicely. Now, at home trying them on with bare feet, the foot isn't slipping in quite so easily:eek::eek:. Worse still, DD trotted over to L'pool One to change them this morning and no size 40 left. Chester have just sold their last size 40 and the Oasis concessions don't sell them.

I go away on Wed morning and the next-day delivery option isn't coming up online and even if it did I think I'm pushing my luck with bank holidays trying to order online.

Am just going to try them on again. I am always prepared to suffer slightly for my vanity, but am having an Ugly Sister/ Glass Slipper moment just now!! Wish me luck!!
Bronnie, I think we have very similar feet! I too am that awkward 39/40 junction, I used to be a perfect 39. I am pretty sure shoe sizing is experiencing the same variance as clothing sizing atm....those new shoes I bought? The ones I tried on weeks ago that fitted were a 39, but the ones I bought were a 40: the 39s there were tiny
