Morning!
Just waiting for Jon to get his act together before we hit the boot sals.
Charity shops - The chains are more expensive as Mariel so rightly points out, they have strict pricing structure and basic guidelines of how much to charge for certain labels. BHF and Scope (I worked as a volunteer for them for 10 years) can be expensive for high street stuff but beautiful vintage items, like my tooled leather handbag, are a few quid as the volunteers have nothing to compare it to.
The independant stores are very cheap in the less affluent areas. I often pick up nice, vintage clothes for under £1. Our Sally Army prices every item of clothing at £1.25 regardless of whether it's 1960's pristine cashmere Cecil Gee overcoat or a Primarni rag.
Oh, he's ready. Catch you later, lovelies!0 -
Have a great time at the Boot sales Goan! If you see any maxi dresses in size 8 that you think are "me" please snap them up0

Morning ladies. As expected I now have a full on stinking cold so feeling pretty miserable about that especially as DH has Friday, Saturday and Sunday off work so hope the worst is over by then.
I'm just having a day indoors today so painting, glueing, sticking is on the cards I think, and will tackle the laundry too if I feel strong enough lol!
I'm slobbing out in a polka dot/floral tunic in white, blue, green, mustard and brown. and navy leggings.
Magpye - I think I forgot to say Great news about the job yesterday
Tsabo - Brilliant, you must have impressed them
xx0 -
Oh no, feel better soon Vicki; though your "slobbing out" outfit sounds very un slobby to me
when I'm ill it's PJs or trackie bottoms all the way!
I'm not sure what I'm doing with myself today, probably not hobnobs lol, though I might bake later. Probably just course work (so close to being done with module 1!) and general internet stuffs. Blood tests tomorrow so need to conserve energy for getting there and back haha.
Local papers come out today so will be scouring for boot sales and the like.0 -
Just thought I'd pop on real quickly before work to apologise for not getting on this week. It's just a bit mental for me workwise. I'm working til 11 tonight so today will be out again but I will definitely catch up properly once I'm off.
Hugs all!0 -
Hello Nic
oh payday for me tomorrow, I'm amazed at how much money I've NOT spent lately (despite it seeming otherwise)
I'm going to assess finances properly tomorrow morning and maybe treat myself to the maxi dress in New Look0 -
vicki take good care of yourself. Be a little lazy and hav a hot drink constantly on the go. Spring and summer colds are horrid.
Right, off to buy my shoes today:) I painted my toenails orange last night, and am wearing black and white maxi dress (with leggings thanks to Goanmad) blue cashmere bolero and not sure yet about shoes (depends which ones my orthotics will fit into. ) Make up is a blue line with a flick undermy eye, and red lip gloss, red blusher - very natural though, its hard to get enough impact from it without going to far, I've erred for slightly less rather than more. Wedding ring and parrot earrings. (I wish I'd gone for the plain parrots now, not the hoop-y ones...)
This outfit might repeat tomorrow as its so easy for the hospital.0 -
Your outfit sounds gorgeous Lost, I wish you could post photos
Enjoy shoe shopping!0
