I hope so! I'm shorter and much rounder than you and I really want one0 -
MORNING!!
wow do i feel better today
I went to bed at 7pm last night but REALLY needed the sleep after my late night phone calls
Im covered in bruises from dancing - MUST buy them socks!! Need reminded!
At work - going ok, just promoting a meeting

See you soon
(outfit jeans t-shirt trainers, i give in!)0 -
I might try one, I usually live in linen trousers and knee length skirts in the summer because I don't like my legs, so a maxi dress would be another option.
Silly question alex - do you have good summers in Liverpool??*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
Ooh, outfit! Hmm, it's probably a bit butch looking (does anyone else have this problem when they wear checked shirts?) but I've shoved a pretty top underneath so hopefully I don't look too much like a bloke.
Blue, yellow and white checked shirt - DP
Cream strappy top with a draped neckline and flower/lace detailing - DP
Straight leg indigo jeans - Primark
Cowboy boots - Evans
Big silver ring - DP
Initial necklace - Sunday Girl
Blue flower studs - Accessorize0 -
I think it all depends on the shape of the dress, the ones with thin straps and cross over bust don't flatter me, but the full floaty sleeves balance out my hips.
I might blog mine today and discuss further!0 -
I bet you look lovely Alex, and not at all blokey. xx0

good thinking, I was thinking strappy but after what you've said maybe a rethink. I've just asked my boyf and he reckons I'm too short for a maxi...might have to go window shopping to try some on and see how I feel*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150

Morning girlies, I'm back!
Got a few bits of vintage "tat" as Jon so eloquently puts it and I'll pop 'em on the blog later.
Today's outfit:
Vintage brown crimplene maxi with psychedellic floral print (99p eBay)
Cowboy boots (Car boot 50p)
Fitted 1970's leather shirt-style jacket (Charity shop £7 over 17 years ago)
Silver bangles and rings (India)
Silver hoop earrings with coins (Charity shop £1)
Tooled leather saddle bag (Charity shop 99p)
Leather gloves (Jumble sale)
Vintage Ted Lapidus huge sunglasses (Charity shop £3.95 with an identical pair thrown in free)
Maxi dresses come in all shapes and sizes, they aren't the easiest thing to wear and I've seen more disasters than I have beauties. Chose unwisely and they can add bulk to even the slimmest frame.
As a maxi dress wearer of some years I was quite excited when they became mainstream but the ones I've tried tend to disguise my figure rather than flatter it. I feel the vibrant prints and slimmer cut of the vintage variety suit me more.
Queenie, if you love cropped pants in the summer why not get a cheapie maxi and chop it off at the same length as where your trousers end? It's a super flattering and feminine length to wear with espadrilles.
Vicki- Hope you feel better soon.
Alex - I can't imagine you looking bloke-y in anything. I was so scrawny and flat chested as a teenager I was often mistaken for a cross-dresser0
