Hm, well, I know here they are all overpriced because even though it is subsidised the shop rents are so high
(doesn't stop me moaning about the prices :p)
but idk if it's the same everywhere.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Ours are all over priced too. :( I'm considering following Goanmad's suggestion of trying less fertile sounding ground, less great areas...but in previous experience in this area its pretty unsuccessful. I once pointed out to a charity shop they wer derranged: they were selling nothing special second hand silk scarves for he same price a very real string of pearls. In retrospect I should have got the pearls to sell on, but I just..never thoguht of it.

The other thing that REALLY annoys me about charity shops is refusing to sell from the window display.....I mean, in all seriousness, you have someone who wants to buy what you have and you turn them away? Bizarre!!

YES, window display refusal. A few weeks ago I actually saw some gorgeous boots, that were perfect, exactly what I've been looking for the past two winters. They were a bit expensive for a CS but cheap for boots and they wouldn't sell them to me :(

well thank goodness that's my listing done.. the photo uploading was really glitching today:(.

Retro- goans right, it's best to be pleased you sorted the money and hope she/he gets their comeupance later. You don't want to endanger your account. but I hate how people can just mess you about like that. i'm waiting for my first hassly sale since i started selling again...I'm sure it won't be long.

    Your day sounds lovely Queen.

    Yay I won this:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270547061537&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Thinking it would go nice with a bolero? And some nice heels. No idea what I'm going to wear it too though.

Didn't win my river island shirt though, slightly gutted

Quite chuffed however that I have passed my HNC in anatomy and physiology module!!
  • daisy - you are welcome anytime ;)

Vicki - not all charity shops are priced the same, I find that the price can vary between one and another in different areas of Nottingham, I also go to camden quite a lot and the prices vary there. Don't forget to haggle...they can only say no, if you don't ask you don't get. My office boots I'm wearing today were priced at £6.99 but I asked if she'd do them for a fiver because they had a couple of scuff marks and she said yes, also with my Jones the Bootmaker Mary Janes I knocked her down a quid I think.
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!
