Lost- in theory that is a fantastic idea, but it would mean having two cartons of milk on the go (no-one else in my family drinks it) and I don't get through enough in a week :o It will be something I do though, as I plan to make the transition :) You are so very wise.

DB, can you freeze a carton of semi in an ice cube tray and then transfer to a freezer bag, then you can defrost 1 cube at at time?

    Thats brilliant.

I triedi with fizzy drinks once though, to make ice cubes that don't dilute the drink for non-drinkers/mixers at parties, and it was really unsuccessful: it goes un fizzy and so your drins tast like flat/old stuff. Yuck!

I now make them with little fruits, tiny citrus wedges or flowers inside. :D

I do the citrus thing and soft herbs too for cooking when I have a yellow stickered glut. Where would we be without the freezer?

Oooh lost, frozen grapes, for parties, in drinks. Never done it myself but I hear it's good!

    frozen grapes = excellent snack.
  • evening ladies...how are we all this evening?

I've had a lovley day, spent lunch time with a very good friend and then we walked into town together, I picked up a few bits, they I caught the bus to the otherside of town as spent a couple of hours wandering round the charity shops (10 along the highstreet :D) Tried on a couple of pairs of gorgeous shoes but didn't buy, but did buy a black velvet jacket for £2.99 and a cute necklace for 99p...I think I need to update my challenge because I'm sure I'm fast running out of funds...but I have been selling on ebay so I'm still spend neutral. Gave the flea market a miss the evening, I'm saving myself for the jumble sale on saturday :D
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

Quick CS question. In general are all CS within a certain town similarly priced?
The two I have been to are ludicrousy expensive so I don't know if I am wasting my time finding any more.
Should I keep going or try another town?
