Ah Goan that's a lovely way to look at it, I might start thinking that way.
I did catch sight of myself in the mirror this morning still nude and I purred at my reflection, don't know if that's narcisism or just pleased that my mummy tummy's getting smaller!

Goan, I wish someone had told me that when I was a mopey teen! Instead I had to find it out the hard way (and still have my moments, mind.) :D

She is paranoid about being mutton dressed as lamb

I'm not paranoid about it but I wonder if people might think I'm going through a mid life crisis now I'm changing the way I dress. (I'm 55 :().

By the way Goanmad, I love the candy striped sundress outfit you wore yesterday; even more than usual - you have some great things.
  • Retro-bluebell, I always look at your blog but only through your name on here so I won't show up as a follower.

Oh, thanks, daydreambeliever! To be honest I don't usually do stripes (memories of a hideous school uniform) but could resist it for £2.
Did you beautiful ladies realise that Kathryn Bigelow, first woman director to win an Oscar, was 59? How gorgeous is she?
  • Ooh yes, I didn't know she was 59!
  • afternoon again all...finally changed out of 'sorting the house out' clothes into something respectful:

    Floral dress - international £7.50
Primark dark blue skinny jeans £8
    Primark blue cardi £10 ish
Green knee high boots - £2.30 via ebay
Anchor necklace £1 via blog sale
    Chunky ring £1
Chunky mustard bangle £1 charity shop

Must confess I think I've bought the same green boots that PF has off ebay...I checked her blog when they same and think they are exactly the same - sorry about that PF! They are gorgeous boots tho :)

Pics will go on blog soon.

I'm really sad that my warehouse coat has gone on ebay :(:(:( but it's a 14 and is way too bg for me. But hopefully it'll go to someone who loves it

There's a fab post about the older ladies at the Oscars on this blog (which is very good anyway, not just about fashion :) )
